My pet peeves

Nyap'nyap'nyap...nyap'nyap'nyap...nyapz!~

i absolutely abhor this sound (hence the not so attractive colour). i am not going to tell what the sound is (you can figure it out yourself or by just reading this post until the end) :D ehehe.

I remembered the first time i heard about this abhorrent sound was back in '98 or was it '99, i was a teenager back then (wah!!! i was so young!!) and one of my closest friends started mentioning about this 'sound' and from then on, I started realising this 'sound' and until now I am fairly annoyed (this 'fairly annoyed' might be an understatement) by this nyap nyap nyap sound.

Have you figured it out already? ahhaha

sorry, but it's one of my flaws - to be a little (again another understatement) bit judgmental (<---this is the correct spelling ehehhe). (and of course i try not to make this sound - by properly chewing my food ehhehe) oh well

hello people...its been a very long while since i last blogged.

It had been a bloody battle for me and my brain against 3 horrendous exam papers. I did all of 'em but i can't say i did alright. Now all my prayers will be focused on passing these papers..AMIN!! -doakan aku pass!!...tanx a lot-

Oh yea...I practically missed one month...missed January...I was kinda engrossed in revision and studying that i didn't realize that one month has passed...JUST LIKE THAT!! POOOFt...now I'm in February of 2008...that's how horrendous (plus menyusahkan aku) the papers were!!

Well it's been a few days (4 days to be exact) since i sat for my last paper...IT was an OKAY paper...but my answers were NOT!! I mean...i studied for a WEEK for that paper..but nothing come to fruition. The horrific experience that i went through on the morning of that exam was - my brain wasn't functioning!, i think i had a panic attack and i couldn't remember and recall a week's worth of revision...i FELT USELESS..I WAS SO FRUSTRATED!

what's done is done right? ahahha now i just have to pray and mudahan aku pass! amin..

sigh...

on a lighter note.

wait a minute there is no lighter note!! ahahha and can you believe it...after losing one month to extensive and intensive revision...barely a week passed, our new semester starts. It's my last semester. and my hope is that i will breeze through this semester (i mean i will try my best and try harder to achieve what i came to do - get a degree!!).

I think I'm settled with my courses this semester, apart from the compulsory module - Case Studies in Accounting - I already decided that i will take Auditing module and Taxation in theory and practice..

....

well i think that's it from my studying front...

hahaha and as you all know, this blog -my blog!!- ehehhe was created in January 2007...it means that it already reached its first year anniversary!! yeay!! I had plans on revamping the layout of the blog but i couldn't do it and i had a few ideas of how to make my blog looks unique and kinda show who and what i am as a person...ahhaha I had this idea of writing down (yea...ACTUALLY writing down my entries on paper using pen) and just scan it and upload it here...i had this idea brewing inside of my head since last november (in 2007) ahaha but i never actually got to do it...what's with my exam and everything...i'm still thinking of doing that ehhehe

and by same coincidence i stumble upon this site www.matthewgraygubler.com This site is actually the blog of one of the casts in 'Criminal Minds' - Dr Reid (a.k.a Matthew Gray Gubler <-- his real name) ehhehe and it looks fantastic!! The layout is so cool...and i wanna revamp the layout of this blog like that blog..not 100% the same, but more or less like that. ehhehe :D


well that's my intention so far...and so far this is it for my reappearance..

Lufias™ thinks...

I have been raking my brain how to make my blog more interesting...words are just words...right? I've been searching what stuff to blog. Apart from the random daily updates, I can't think of new stuff...is this what you called writer's block?

Alright...i can't ramble much in this post.

I just wanna introduce a new element (which I hope to develop) - meaning, the 'Lufias™ thinks' section...it's basically a total random (TOTALLY RANDOM) things that i think about..what could be more obvious than that...hahaha

so here you go...the first Lufias™ thinks...

Hiatus

Sorry for the non-posts period...which I admit is due to a lil bit of my fault :D

tapi...its a for a number of perfect reasons...

1. exam
2. revision (this shud be the first reason, but i'm sure you all get my drift right?)

I'm currently doing my revision since I came back from my almost 2 week holiday in London (for which I had extremely great time - mostly because Vi and Mirul were the best host and hostess while i was there - hehe it was great doing my boxing day shopping in London, i feel ill though for the first couple days...but i managed to pull through it).

A few things did complete my shopping experience, queuing up and stuff and spraying my fingers and clothes and body trying out perfumes during the Harrods sale with chea kee. after which we were quite intoxicated and for lack of better word -lamas- suffocated!. I went to Zara alone and saw someone I knew for a long time but never really met face to face. Happily shopping with brother and probably a special friend ehhehe sigh! oh well!

and the revision took up most of my time and brain space...do you realise that when doing intensive revision you always feel hungry? or is it just me?

anyways exam is just around the corner...by that i mean i will be having exams on 22nd, 25th January and 7th February...3 papers!! not much kan...BUT!!! the stuff to revise are so....banyak!!


and by the way...January is this blog's first year anniversary! (YEAY!!) and i am a bit disappointed by not actively writing and recording and celebrating the first year anniversary of this blog...but i have other stuff to do which are quite high on my priority list, like studying!. :D

so...on that note, i'll be leaving you guys/girls with a message - Happy New Year! and thank you for stopping by to read my humble blog :D

InsyaAllah (God's will) I'll be back posting on a regular basis soon. But for now and until my exam is over, this blog will be on a...

Coming down with sumthing...

I have not been feeling well since last Wednesday. and I just realised that my laptop is freaking huge! ahahha Well i bought it in 2004 so...its bound to be somewhat huge..but it's done me some great things! such as blogging! ehhe and doing my assignments...and it's the first 'expensive' tech thing that I bought with my own money! ehhehe no matter how huge it is, i still love it! and it's still functioning superbly (but...the speed of it is sometimes slow! very slow...jgn marah laptop...you're still the best)


going back to me coming down with sumthing...hmm well, i think its flu. Because my nose sometimes gets blocked and my joints ache all over. But thanks to medicine and painkillers, I am not bed-bound..ehehe i hate being sick and bed-ridden. It's okay to be sick and still can walk around...at least i don't feel miserable.


and i will be posting about 'My Happy Happy Weekend part 2' and the pictures once I am done with editing the pictures. ehhehe

Alright, these pictures were taken during my visit to London. To be exact on Saturday - last Saturday - while I was out jalan-jalan with Vi and Steph. We took the bus to reach Oxford Street to look for Vi's kasut and coat. We didn't have any idea that the street (West End of London) was closed, hence we were kinda marah at the bus driver, since he took us far from our stop (Oxford Street). But the reason why he did this was because of the reason above (the streets going there were closed) due to...well I'll let the pictures say it...

These are streets performers. Steph told me it was 'World's Aids Day' that day...

The next set of pictures were taken during my dinner at Taman Gang restaurant (click here to check out the restaurant)...the food was great, especially the black cod, the scallops, the sushi, the sashimi, the king prawns, the soft shell crab, the yellow tail!!! NYAMAN!! Lazat!! eheh (check out the ala carte menu at Taman Gang) ahahah and this was the night when I was introduced to Virgin Pina Colada, a blend of drink made up of pineapple and coconut milk...try some! it's heavenly...

My Happy Happy Weekend...part 1

As you all know that I went to London last Friday.

The reason? Do I have always have reason for everytime I do something?...

Well, I guess I have a reason to go to London last Friday and spent my weekend there...(actually I am still in London and I'm spending my Monday and Tuesday in London as well...)

Alright the first and foremost reason was because we were invited by His Majesty the Sultan of Brunei to 'Majlis Ramah Mesra'...basically His Majesty grant us audience to meet and greet him personally, basically 'ziarah' with him and his family...this was exclusive to Bruneian students and Bruneians who worked in the UK as well...ehehhe it was a great event. It took place at Interconental Hotel, Park Lane in London. Oh and this event was on Sunday, 2nd of December 2007.

The other reason was because, I wanna meet my friend in London for the weekend (this was my original plan...) to visit Vi and just cool off and have a different kind of weekend...It sure was different! It was fun and it was my happy happy weekend..eheehehe

I think I'm gonna do a bit of story-telling in this post...ehehe

I left the house (Brandreth Road) in Sheffield around 5pm on Friday and took the tram on Infirmary Road to go to Sheffield Interchange. I arrived there around 5.20ish and I thought I was SUPER SUPER SUPER early since I had to wait for another hour for my coach to arrive...(my coach to London was scheduled to leave Sheffield at 6.20pm) However, this is not the case, as I was waiting, it was around 10minutes to six and I saw a bus passed by. So I got up and went to the platform, luckily my instinct told me to get up and check it out. The bus indeed was my scheduled bus to London. After a short queue, I showed the driver my ticket and put my luggage in the luggage compartment and got inside the bus and took my seat.

The journey wasn't that memorable, and I wished it didn't take 4 hours to reach London...apart from that I didn't get motion-sick and everything else was fine. I arrived at Victoria Coach Station around 10pm and then waited a few around 5-10minutes for Stephanie who apparently got a coach from Manchester to London and her coach was supposed to arrive there around the same time my coach was, but due to congestion I had to go take the tube first and left her (after all Ozy was picking her up). eheheh

I took the circle line of London Underground at Victoria Station (a.k.a the tube) to reach Paddington Underground Station. After I arrived there, I made my way to Brunei Hall where I put my stuff and change to my pyjamas in Mirul's room (it was already late 11ish). Lepak around in Vi's room and slept...

On Saturday, I woke up around (hehehe i forgot what time I woke up) ehehhe anyways i showered in mirul's room and then change and get ready to jalan-jalan and help Vi with her shopping around Oxford Street, she was looking for a pair of shoes and coat. It wasn't successful since we couldn't find either of those things. Instead, me, vi and steph just go around and watch the event that's going on Oxford street. Apparently, as steph told me, that day was World's Aids day, and the road was closed, and we were litterally walking on the road...
