Random Stuff!

Sometimes in life you are tempted (well if you are not a nice person) to say these things...and I'm far from nice (ehehhe) and I do get these urge to say things like these...(I was browsing through forwarded mails -trying to find inspiration there- and I found this)...

It's actually about stuff that you would say when you're stressed...but some of them are suitable when you're p****d off..eheh (Oh..at the moment of writing...I AM NOT P****D OFF..i'm just bored..) After all sharing is caring! (Green Italic words are my comments..ehehe)

"Okay, okay! I take it back. Unf*ck you!!!"
hehehe...

"You say I'm a b*tch like it's a bad thing?!"
This doesn't apply to me..hehe

"How many times do I have to flush before you go away?"
Cool!

"Well this day was a total waste of make-up"
Again this doesn't apply to me

"Well aren't we a bloody ray of sunshine?"
Yatah, what's wrong with a lil bit of sunshine everyday, even better a whole sun!

"Don't bother me, I'm living happily ever after."
Yeah! I can't be bothered! Go wreck somebody else's life

"Do I look like a f*cking people person!"
sometimes i do feel i am not a people person

"This isn't an office. It's HELL with fluorescent lighting"
no comment

"I started out with nothing still have most of it left"
mainly when i'm frustrated and extremely unsatisfied with my own work and someone comes up to me and say something like..."ah...you did all you could"

"I pretend to work, they pretend to pay me"
no comment...i'm paid to study!

"YOU!!... off my planet!!!"
YOU!! Get out of my life...stop breathing my air..

"Therapy is expensive. Popping bubble plastic is cheap. You choose"
hahahaha...

"Practice random acts of intelligence and senseless acts of self-control"
hahahah...

"Errors have been made. Others will be blamed"
UNFAIR!

"And your cry-baby, whiny-assed opinion would be.....?"
...you suck!

"I'm not crazy. I've been in a very bad mood for 30 years."
talking about grumpiness! 30 years! You're older than me!

"Sarcasm is just one more service I offer."
and it's not inclusive of tax

"Whatever kind of look you were going for, you missed"
YUP...YOU MISSED IT BY TWO PLANETS

"Do they ever shut up on your planet?"
Do they have ears on your planet?

"I'm not your type. I'm not inflatable"
ehehhe...

"Stress is when you wake up screaming and you realize you haven't gone to sleep yet"
stressed!?

"Back off!! You're standing in my aura."
I LIKE THIS ONE...yeah...YOUR AURA IS AS BLACK AS DEATH...

"Don't worry. I forgot your name too."
hehehe

"I just want revenge. Is that so wrong?"
yeah...it's not that wrong, I'm just getting even

"I work 45 hours a week to be this poor."
ehehhe...

"Nice perfume. Must you marinate in it."
at least i don't smell like you...

"Not all men are annoying. Some are dead."
It wouldn't be right for me to trash the other gender :D hehehe

"Wait...I'm trying to imagine you with a personality"
I can't imagine you with personality...they just bounce off you...I think you scare them away

"Chaos, panic and disorder . . . my work here is done."
heehhehe

"Ambivalent? Well yes and no."
Maybe?

"You look like sh*t. Is that the style now?"
It's just you!

"Earth is full. Go home."
yea! go home!

"Aw, did I step on your poor little bitty ego?"
and probably i keep away from you supersize ego!

"I'm not tense, just terribly, terribly alert."
ehhehe

Well...my favourite one is the one about the aura!

"Back off!! You're standing in my aura."

Coming down with sumthing...

I have not been feeling well since last Wednesday. and I just realised that my laptop is freaking huge! ahahha Well i bought it in 2004 so...its bound to be somewhat huge..but it's done me some great things! such as blogging! ehhe and doing my assignments...and it's the first 'expensive' tech thing that I bought with my own money! ehhehe no matter how huge it is, i still love it! and it's still functioning superbly (but...the speed of it is sometimes slow! very slow...jgn marah laptop...you're still the best)

going back to me coming down with sumthing...hmm well, i think its flu. Because my nose sometimes gets blocked and my joints ache all over. But thanks to medicine and painkillers, I am not bed-bound..ehehe i hate being sick and bed-ridden. It's okay to be sick and still can walk around...at least i don't feel miserable.

and i will be posting about 'My Happy Happy Weekend part 2' and the pictures once I am done with editing the pictures. ehhehe

alright i think that's it for now :D

My happy happy weekend pictures...series 1

Alright, these pictures were taken during my visit to London. To be exact on Saturday - last Saturday - while I was out jalan-jalan with Vi and Steph. We took the bus to reach Oxford Street to look for Vi's kasut and coat. We didn't have any idea that the street (West End of London) was closed, hence we were kinda marah at the bus driver, since he took us far from our stop (Oxford Street). But the reason why he did this was because of the reason above (the streets going there were closed) due to...well I'll let the pictures say it...
These are streets performers. Steph told me it was 'World's Aids Day' that day...

Me and Vi posing on the streets..

Vi and Steph

Me and a cat! ahahah

Clip, Steph, Vi and Snip! eheheh (These mascots are all over the streets, we also met Spongebob! Hmmm some other mascots..ehehe)

Clip. Me. Snip. OUCHHHH!

The next set of pictures were taken during my dinner at Taman Gang restaurant (click here to check out the restaurant)...the food was great, especially the black cod, the scallops, the sushi, the sashimi, the king prawns, the soft shell crab, the yellow tail!!! NYAMAN!! Lazat!! eheh (check out the ala carte menu at Taman Gang) ahahah and this was the night when I was introduced to Virgin Pina Colada, a blend of drink made up of pineapple and coconut milk...try some! it's heavenly...

My Happy Happy Weekend...part 1

As you all know that I went to London last Friday.

The reason? Do I have always have reason for everytime I do something?...

Well, I guess I have a reason to go to London last Friday and spent my weekend there...(actually I am still in London and I'm spending my Monday and Tuesday in London as well...)

Alright the first and foremost reason was because we were invited by His Majesty the Sultan of Brunei to 'Majlis Ramah Mesra'...basically His Majesty grant us audience to meet and greet him personally, basically 'ziarah' with him and his family...this was exclusive to Bruneian students and Bruneians who worked in the UK as well...ehehhe it was a great event. It took place at Interconental Hotel, Park Lane in London. Oh and this event was on Sunday, 2nd of December 2007.

The other reason was because, I wanna meet my friend in London for the weekend (this was my original plan...) to visit Vi and just cool off and have a different kind of weekend...It sure was different! It was fun and it was my happy happy weekend..eheehehe

I think I'm gonna do a bit of story-telling in this post...ehehe

I left the house (Brandreth Road) in Sheffield around 5pm on Friday and took the tram on Infirmary Road to go to Sheffield Interchange. I arrived there around 5.20ish and I thought I was SUPER SUPER SUPER early since I had to wait for another hour for my coach to arrive...(my coach to London was scheduled to leave Sheffield at 6.20pm) However, this is not the case, as I was waiting, it was around 10minutes to six and I saw a bus passed by. So I got up and went to the platform, luckily my instinct told me to get up and check it out. The bus indeed was my scheduled bus to London. After a short queue, I showed the driver my ticket and put my luggage in the luggage compartment and got inside the bus and took my seat.

The journey wasn't that memorable, and I wished it didn't take 4 hours to reach London...apart from that I didn't get motion-sick and everything else was fine. I arrived at Victoria Coach Station around 10pm and then waited a few around 5-10minutes for Stephanie who apparently got a coach from Manchester to London and her coach was supposed to arrive there around the same time my coach was, but due to congestion I had to go take the tube first and left her (after all Ozy was picking her up). eheheh

I took the circle line of London Underground at Victoria Station (a.k.a the tube) to reach Paddington Underground Station. After I arrived there, I made my way to Brunei Hall where I put my stuff and change to my pyjamas in Mirul's room (it was already late 11ish). Lepak around in Vi's room and slept...

On Saturday, I woke up around (hehehe i forgot what time I woke up) ehehhe anyways i showered in mirul's room and then change and get ready to jalan-jalan and help Vi with her shopping around Oxford Street, she was looking for a pair of shoes and coat. It wasn't successful since we couldn't find either of those things. Instead, me, vi and steph just go around and watch the event that's going on Oxford street. Apparently, as steph told me, that day was World's Aids day, and the road was closed, and we were litterally walking on the road...

to be continued...

waiting...

...in my room. Sitting by the window on the sofa. Staring blankly at the screen of my laptop.

Thinking.

Still thinking, but slowly my thoughts began to transform into typed words that you see now.

I finished my packing. Except for my toiletries, which I will pack later. I just need a bit of relaxing. I was excited to go to London since last Monday. But the excitement took longer than it needed to. In the end, I got so tired and I couldn't help but think that (well this part will be repetitive) I am more tired than excited.

I'm trying to say that, all the excitement has gone, and its replaced by me getting exhausted. I'm supposed to be extremely excited to go to London this weekend. After all, I'm gonna spend my time with my best-friends and have a hell of good time. I'm still looking forward to this!

Well, here - in this paragraph - I would like to dedicate a song..HAHAHA, seriously, here in this paragraph I would like to contradict myself a lil bit. I'm not totally NOT EXCITED, i think it's because I've been looking forward to this day (Friday) since last Monday, therefore the novelty of it has somewhat been corroded a lil bit.

In exactly four hours, I will be on my way to London (reasons? - it's a story for the next post) using the bus! THE BUS!...I hate using the bus (or as the call it here, coach) for long journeys. First of all, it's slow, much slower than using the train. Secondly, it's not comfortable, and then I can't move around in the bus (in trains you can go jalan2, buy some food, or just stretch your legs). Fourthly, the toilet!...i don't like using public toilets, but when the time comes, i just hate using bus toilet!...and lastly, it gave a hell of motion sickness - this is the time when my stomach will feel like it wanna throw every last bit of whatever food i have left inside of me out..ahhaha

Seriously, I hate using coach/bus for long journeys.

Well i gotta go and rest up, before my journey to London. ehehhe

so...

SO...what?

:D

alright nothing much happened during my weekend (again!) eheheh it's a fast weekend. I wished I can wake up earlier everyday, lemme see, around 6 or 7 in the morning, so I can have a fuller day! but that's not happening! Either i wake up around 11.30 in the morning (except every Friday, cos i have a class at 11 in the morning) OR I wake up around 9.30am BUT either i continue to sleep til 11.3o OR just lying there in my bed, arranging my schedule for the day in my head..ahahha

Okay, enuff about my 'waking-up-in-the-morning pattern'...eheheh

hmm wat am i gonna talk about in this post?

okay, im gonna talk about or write about my saturday...It was great, i didn't waste much of it. As you all know Azmi bought a Wii Console, and we play it almost on a daily basis...just to loosen our mind from studying ehehhe...

Also, Mizah's laptop was crashing ALL the time, and she couldn't stand it anymore and she had to call Zyden to reformat her laptop because Zyden has all the drivers and stuff for Mizah's laptop. Hmmm maybe i shud ask him to reformat my laptop as well, since my laptop is the same brand as Mizah's and his. :D

anyways, azmi downloaded ehehhe the game Trauma Center, which is cool! since you got to be a surgeon, who gets to open people's insides and tear em up and then get to stitch em up again..(the tearing part i just put there, it sounded more interesting...ehehe)

and i did my wii fitness test, it slightly dropped from 38 to 33, but i took the fitness test again last night...and guess what! it dropped to 27 ehehhe i guess i'm almost FIT! ehhee...

Zyden slept over for the night and had dinner with us, it's been a while since we had him over :D ehehhe and also the he had to sleep over because he was alone and here it starts to get dark around 4.00+pm and it's quite un-wise to go out alone.

The next day, i think i basically did pretty much the same thing i did on saturday, played wii, watched tv and sleep...and of course i had a bread pudding baked by fish and assisted by miz and lei! it was yummy!...i had this sudden craving of sweet things....and today i bought candies from the german market fair watever in sheffield ehehe....

alrighty! i guess that's it for today :D

Let's recap

All is well again, the week is not over yet...but i just feel like writing something here...after all a blog, well at least for this blog is about writing stuff - my experience, the occasional video postings from youtube or even dailymotion. Also pictures.

Usually if I haven't got the chance to blog daily, i will try at least to recap what happened during the weekend. Like now!..ehehe

As it happened, I kinda had a pretty interesting week...Let's go back to pre-school (just kidding!), the week for me starts on Monday (some people might start theirs earlier, like on Sunday or the next day Tuesday <--this is the day after Monday, hehehe). Some people might have Monday Blues, this is how I see what Monday Blues mean, since monday is the start of another week, people tend to look at it a lil bit unenthusiastically - you've got a long week before you hit the next weekend...ehhehe that's how i see it. But I usually don't have Monday Blues.

My monday started off when I woke up. I expected it to be just like any other Mondays i had in the past. True enough, I woke up but I didn't wake up in a palace, with servants all around me, with breakfast prepared for me. Hahaha, it's just another normal monday for me. and since my bed has only one side (the other side is facing the wall) so i couldn't use the saying 'woke up at the wrong side of the bed', because i have only ONE SIDE of the bed, if i woke up at the other side of the bed, it'll definitely be the WRONG side, cos i'll be wedged between the bed and the wall! :D

As always, hygiene is the utmost importance to me, especially oral hygiene (gotta keep the perfect teeth intact!!) I went upstairs and brushed my teeth (using my green Aquafresh toothbrush and Colgate, and gargle some Colgate mouthwash ). Then, went downstairs to prepare myself some breakfast. I can't remember what I had for breakfast. Get ready for lecture at 1pm and contemplated of not going to the seminar/tutorial at 4pm.

Oh, now i remember I DIDN'T have any breakfast or lunch that day, that's why I can't remember what i HAD for breakfast or lunch.

Lecture (Corporate Social Responsibility) was not fun that day, because the lecturer kept on droning and droning and I suspect most of the class was feeling the same as me -BORED TO Death, since everyone was unusually quiet. And indeed, during the second half of the lecture (it was two hour lecture with 5-10 minutes break after the first hour) a lot of the students didn't return for the lecture.

Me? I stayed on...ehhehe I am GOOD student along with my friends Mizah, Rashie, and the rest of the Bruneian students - azi, dauz, sheila, ninah and salwa.

During that break, I was extremely hungry...and it felt like 'puasa' hahaha

okay, the second part of lecture was not fun either. After the lecture was over - Mizah, Rashie and me went to the Management School, but there we just figured we didn't have anything that we really need to do. So we just hung out at the library. ehehhe Mostly talking! (hehehe our library is COOL, we can TALK...not loudly but it's just friendly...and everyone is understanding)...we talk about general stuff! ahahha

then the clock struck 4pm. It's time for us to head to the Management School and go to the seminar room...our friends are there already...and we kinda waited about 15-20 minutes for the lecturer. After almost half an hour of waiting and wondering whether the lecturer was gonna come or not, he finally came into the room and apologized to us that he had to cancel the seminar/tutorial because he was feeling extremely unwell. So we were dismissed and asked to either come his other seminars next week.

Sounded like a bad start right? what's with me being hungry, the lecture was boring and then the tutorial/seminar that i contemplated of not going was CANCELLED. It was almost like a bad start BUT things weren't so bad after that. BECAUSE Beng Hui some time in the past few weeks promised to treat us SUSHI at a place called WasabiSabi at London Road in Sheffield. ehehhe I WAS CRAVING SUSHI!!!! There were around 10-12 of us (lemme list 'em, Me, Rashi, Mizah, Fish, Lei, Azmi, Beng Hui, Azi, Ben, g-din)...it is 10 ehehhe I stuffed myself with Sushi! ehehhe it was great and arigato Beng Hui.

Then we went home after dropping by at Rashie's place -Beng Hui stayed over at our place -. At home, heheh i deliberately left this part out. Azmi got Wii, Nintendo Wii!!! (i tried the fitness test on Wii and my age is 37! disappointing!) ehehhe and we played the whole night...i got addicted (you see, before this i didn't really like playing it...but somehow i got hooked!!).

We spent most of the night playing Wii..and the next day (Tuesday) gathered in Azmi's spacious attic room playing his Wii! ehehhe it was cool!

Then Wednesday came, we had lecture (Financial Reporting Theory) and then Thursday came, i called home got the news about my granpa. Then Friday came, went to tutorial for (Advances In Financial Accounting) and went to lecture in the afternoon (Advances in Financial Accounting), got depressed and feeling a lil' unwell..and now Saturday! Things are yet to unravel...but I'll keep you guys posted! :D

Disharmony with reality...

Once in a while, i feel depressed and seemed to be out of touch with my inner self...Wah! Bida eh! I mean i think the above statement is a bit too much..ahahha

Here's the thing, I was feeling down yesterday (Friday) and apart from feeling not well (I had a headache - not a splitting one, but an annoying one), I was totally not myself yesterday (basically the last quarter of the day). I was supposed to go watch football tournament - the guys (the BruSheff guys) against Malaysian and Singaporean guys (I think...), okay i was supposed to go and support them but I had this annoying headache and this sick feeling in my stomach, and to top it I got depressed all of the sudden.

SO...I just wasn't my usual cheery and smiley self. I went in my room and chatted with Vi and tried to look up my bestfriends all over UK, Brunei and Australia - sadly but fortunately Vi was the only one around, so I just talked to her and I found a lil' solace by just chatting with her, I didn't tell her about my depression or wat's bugging me tho...I'd like to share but I have nothing to share...it was just one of that 'unexplained depression phenomenon' that I occasionally experience. ehhehe and I almost - out of that unreasonable bouts of depression - go to London...ehehhe i was seriously checking the ticket fares and I couldn't care less about using the bus to go to London...that's how unreasonable i was yesterday! ahahha

basically i was not harmonised with my own reality...everything doesn't feel right!!!

After a prayer, a little bit of chocolate bar and crisps and a good night sleep - my depression and annoying little headache was gone, now i'm up for a more cheery and smiley day! ahahha

Basically even someone as cheerful, smiley (wah! self appraising ni!) as me, will suffer a bit of depression occasionally, and when I do, i tend to be not me...and the weather was not helpful either! it was freaking cold yesterday...it reached a low low! ahahha of -2 degrees celcius..It was freezinngggg.....

oh yea, the sick feeling that i felt in my stomach was because...okay, here's the thing...

i called home, because i usually call home once a week...this was less that last semester! ahahha okay, i called home, but my parents weren't home, so my brother - afnan was on the other side of the receiver - i made a small talk, asked how he was doing, about his exams, then asked where my azib was (my lil' bro), he told he was with mum and dad visiting my grandfather who was admitted to the hospital!...this shocked me! so i asked when did they go, he said, it was two hours ago...so i said my good bye and take cares and stuff then...

i called my grandparents' house, and one of my aunts answered, straight away i asked about how 'nini aji' was doing...how he is and what really happened..THANK GOD! it was just a cut on his head. Apparently the weather in Brunei is rainy at the moment. My granpa was outside (against the wishes of my granma) and wanted to use the toilet outside the main house (this toilet is attached to the storage building - just in case we're outside and 'malas' to go inside). Getting on with the story, he was using or wanted to use that toilet and that was when he slipped! and he is very vague about it til now...I guessed he just don't want to make us feel worried...but i think the WHOLE family is worried...when i called, everyone was there! except for my uncle in Kuala Belait or was it Seria...Hmmm my granpa got 4 stitches and the x-ray didn't show anything out of the ordinary...Alhamdulillah :D

So, it happened on Thursday, but I am still worried...i know they won't tell me about it, because I'M HERE! and they don't want to make me worry too much...oh well at least everything is fine and i just hope everyone back home is alright! :D but...i guess the worried feeling dragged itself to Friday...that somehow contributed to my depression..

Oh well everything is okay now..

see ya soon :D

My Sundays

Today is Sunday.

Every Sundays and Saturdays I have no classes, and its called weekend. Weekdays are Mondays to Fridays.

During weekends I usually find or look for something fun to do, but most of the time I would just take a rest and laze around the house.

However, last week I kinda had a very long weekend. This was not because I had something to do. It was because I had to complete my MGT355: Advances In Financial Accounting Assignment which I had to hand in by 4.00pm last Monday.

I completed the assignment but it felt like that I didn't do it up to my usual standard. But what to do? It's already over and I can't go back in time and do it over. But what I could do is, do a better one the next time I'm given an assignment.

Heheh...i just felt like writing something which more or less sounded like a composition style of primary school children. :D (I have nothing against composition style of primary school children :D) ehhehe

But coming back to today and yesterday...

Yesterday I was dragged by my hair by mizah to watch Princess Hours...eheheh no la...i wasn't dragged by my hair. If I did, I might as well cut my hair bald...ahahha Well Miz bought a DVD box series of Princess Hours, so for lack of anything productive to do around the house (actually i wanted to finish and update myself with watching the Bleach Series...but the internet connection wasn't that fast so...) me and the house-mateys (ahaha) + plus Rashie watched the series from afternoon til midnight! ehehhe

and today...we might continue watching the series..

oh well, i think that's enough update for today.

ciao

Bon-fire night recap

Bon-fire night is kinda one of the highlights or events that's probably highly celebrated in the month of November in UK (here's the link if you wanna know more about that night).

On that night, alright it's nearly winter or it's already winter, and that night was totally freezing, but i had tons of fun! Took the tram to get there to Don Valley Arena and my other accomplices (is this the correct spelling, i'm sure it is...but recently I have been (heavily) criticizing a particular person's english literacy and spelling as well as grammatical errors so i'm just being careful, cause Karma is a two edge knife heheh).

Returning to what me and my other accomplices did during that night. Alright my other accomplices are Mizah, Fish, Lei, Azmi, Rashie, Beng Hui, Firdaus and Sheila (thank you Dauz and Sheila for arranging the ticket buying ehehhe).

First as we stepped down from the tram, we were 'sakai' (or was it just me?). Sakai is a bruneian malay word which simply means, I've never been there and....err...okay i don't really know how to translate it...so...eheh im sorry. Alright moving on, i get to go on this freaky ride which kinda revolves 360 degrees and makes you suspended on air (actually i don't know how to describe it...and from now on, i have this feeling that everytime that i wanna describe something, it will end in 'i don't now how to describe it') HAISH!!! ehehhe i think somehow i lost my describing technique...ahahha

After that, we went to see this HUGE BONFIRE! it was huge, and even in the cold weather we can still feel the heat, and we're talking (okay, why am i writing in 'we' form??!!)...okay i'm talking about the BONFIRE was several meters away (around 10-50meters) and we can still feel the heat!

After that, it got boring, I mean there's only so much you can look and experience from watching a big-ass and huge fire..ahahha apart from giving us the much needed heat. ehehhe okay after that we went to this game section/stall (and before that, Fish tried a dart game, but it was kinda tricky)...and there we bought tickets and try to add up the numbers inside the ticket into 21..sounded easy? ahah hell yea...it was easy..but!!!! we were only supplied with even numbers! ahhah so we had to buy lots and lots of tickets..in the end we got an odd number to win a huge big wolf! and we gave it to Rashie...because, she's the one who bought a lot of tickets! we were just lending our luck! ahahah :D

Then we went to see a concert, saw local group from Sheffield and a solo and then WET WET WET performed. It was good! ahaha and after that, we went to find a spot so that we could sit and enjoy the fireworks that followed. The fireworks were spectacular, and we could watch it without any hindrance at all...almost the perfect view, and I could only remember a couple of times when I watched a firework display up-close and clearly, once at home and then once at Empire Hotel.

Once the firework display was over, me and my friends went on a couple of rides...and we had fun throughout the night! eheheh

:D

okay it was unforgettable!

see ya

A lot has happened...

Nothing much has happened actually, but a lot has happened! Okay, I'm just not making sense now. Why? I don't know...:D

Anyways, I haven't got the chance to update my blog, and that means something is or was hindering me from making me update this blog. Another blog (Mizah's) is quite up-to-date, some of the posts mentioned me...

Alright, I'll try to make the London series complete, sadly it will be a much shortened version - the even took place in The Dorchester Hotel in London, one of the best hotels in the world with a 5 or 6 star rating, but i am pretty sure its the latter.

Nothing much interesting happened on that day, I met a few old friends but that was it, and I was kinda hoping that we would win one of the lucky draw prizes but lady luck and fortune were not on our side that day...oh well, at least we had fun!

After that event we went back to Brunei hall and went to London Eye and then I went back to Brunei Hall and spent my time with Vi and Amirul. Had a good night sleep on the floor and then the next day prepared myself to go back to Sheffield, where my home is...yeah...Sheffield is my second home! I'm gonna miss Sheffield once I go back to Brunei for good!!

Alright, that's it, I think the 'burden' of completing this series has been lifted, and I think partly that it hinders me from continuing with my normal blogging pace :D

reasons? excuses? of course....eheheh

London...2

Chapter 2
~*~

It might stand to reason since I spent three days in London, the chapters of the this London post will go up to the number 3. Logically after this chapter I will write another chapter. A closure. But let me think about that as I go along. I'd like to let a few surprises and not let the circumstances of what I do dictate what I should in the future.

Arrival in London

-26th October 2007-

As soon the train stopped, our contingent (hehhe macam ramai banar kami ah) took our luggages and stepped out of the train into St. Pancras Station. The time was 7.52pm. Yeap it was night by the time we arrived there. Cold? A bit. We all had our coats on so it wasn't that chilly.

Once we regrouped, we all began to head towards King's Cross Underground to go to Brunei Hall in Norfolk Square. In between this hustle and bustle of heading towards the Underground Station, the girls and a boy went for a pit stop in the 'washing chambers' ehhehe another fancy for toilets..:D

Unfortunately, all the boys didn't have Oyster card and apparently the girls do. So we made our decisions - the boys were to take taxi and the girls go ahead using the tube to reach Brunei Hall.

Long story brutally ended with a blunt meat cleaver (hehehe) both parties arrived safely in Brunei Hall, checked in but it was already full. The girls crashed at Dijah's place. Some of the boys - Naseeq and Wan crashed at Naseeq's cousin. Zaiem and Ikmal looked up their friends. Izzul and Hisyam, unfortunately had to sleep in the surau. As for me, I crashed at Amirul's room there.

Settled in. Rested a bit. Then we gathered at the Lobby, and decided to go have dinner. Wan, Naseeq and Hisyam went to have theirs at Nahar, a Malaysian Restaurant. Me, Fish, Rash, Miz, Ikmal and Izzul went to Chicken Cottage around Edgware Road, London. We've been craving BBQ chicken, more like me, fish, rash and miz craving for that 6 piece chicken wings, Izzul and Ikmal just followed and ordered the same thing (cos' its their first time there...).

By the time we're finished with the food it was around late 9ish or early 10ish. So we all headed back towards Brunei Hall, I don't quite remember why we wanted to go back to Brunei Hall, but once we're there, the girls kinda want to settle and rest for the night. The guys - me, wan, naseeq, izzul, ikmal and hisyam went out to 'explore'...ehhe :D

We started off by going to Edgware Road, then towards Oxford Street...then I was lost and never to be found! ahha..Nope that didn't happen. :D OF COURSE IT DIDN'T HAPPEN. Otherwise I wouldn't be sitting here now...typing this. hehehe

Okay after Oxford Street, our navigators Wan and Naseeq brought us to Trafalgar Square (which was closed), we went to Piccadilly Circus, we went to see the Big Ben, Downing Street, Parlimentary House, the London Eye....and all of this ON FOOT! or feet. ehhehe owh we went to China Town. I've been to all these places last year...but the scenery was different at night. It was a good exploration...and of course it took us around 2-3 hours to do this. Really! London is huge...especially if you're on foot... :D

The watch on my hand -i vaguely remember this- showed it was a bit late already...it was 2.00 - 2.30 ish am...I gave in...most of the guys did too. We hailed a limo and asked to be dropped off at Hilton Hotel!...I wish!..Nope...we waited for the bus around Trafalgar Square bought a one way journey ticket and then spend the next 10-15 minutes in the bus...in silence..hehehe we were tired and we just need to rest our mouth as well. :D Arrived in Brunei Hall...and slept. :D Of course that's the brutally chopped off onions version...the only version :D

Alright before I brutally diced the potatoes, I think i better stop now and get a good refresher and a nice breakfast. I woke up early (as usual) ehehe and had a bit of spare time that's why I started to blog and continue the London post...and it looks like a third installment will be on its way too...soon i hope...if not, I'm just gonna do a brutally -whatever- scenario thing :D

Ciao

London...1

Chapter 1
~*~

As you all know I went to London, exactly last weekend to celebrate Hari Raya there with other fellow Bruneians...

It all began during 'Sungkai' gathering in Sheffield and Wan's place (ahaha story telling time!). I broke the news to all my friends and the new faces there (my juniors - ehhehe i feel old!!)...long story shortened - I got quite a great 'sambutan' from the juniors albeit only 4 out of them actually went to the celebration, and 6 (including me) of the seniors went to London.

Sungkai at Wan's
(Wan is the guy on your right)

Me, Fish and Rash, arranged for all the train tickets and the event tickets and everything was settled 3-4 days after I broke the news...if the internet at my place was available...I could've done it a bit faster (by a few hours..or minutes or seconds...ehhe)

Alright...that's the prelude to all that's gonna come! hahaha

-Going to London-
26th October 2007

St. Pancras Station in London

Again, I'm gonna make an abbreviated version of this...We had class on that day, so we had to drag our luggages into class. Our train bound to London is set on 17.27 (5.27pm) and our class ended at 4.00pm.

Oh, before I proceed further 'we' means me, rash, fish and miz. :D

Alright, after class, the four of us went straight to West Street, just around the corner of Management School Building and board the tram there. By the time we arrived at the Sheffield Train Station, we had about an hour to kill (better early than late - that's our motto! it only applies to boarding trains or any other transport that's a bit 'mahal' fare-wise)

We arrived there, waited for the juniors - Izzul, Zaiem, Ikmal and Hisyam as well as Wan and Naseeq. :D. There I distributed their tickets and we boarded the train.

Me, Wan, Naseeq, Izzul, Zaiem and Hisyam boarded the same coach...and the rest - Fish, Miz, Rash and Ikmal boarded another coach...nothing much happened during the train ride...just the occasional chats and I tried to read the readings that I was supposed to do, but I couldn't concentrate so...I just didn't read it :D

It took around 2-3hours and finally we arrived at London St. Pancras Station.

hmmm...i think that's as far as I'm gonna write today...my hands are getting cramps :D hehhe

so i'll leave ya all and i'll update again tomorrow or soon :D

Ciao

______________________________

:D Well i just got back from London after an enduring 4 hours train journey from St. Pancras Station to Sheffield Station. It took quite a while to get here due to maintenance to the railway of the normal and shorter route.

I'm leaving behind some accounts of the trip? Not really...I just haven't put it up here yet...I haven't put it into words or sentences YET. :D I need a bit of time to recollect all the jumbled memories and arrange them...

What I need at the moment is a nice break from everything, go back into the cave (it's a nice cozy cave) in my head. Retreat from people and just have a nice ME time. A day of that would be fine. Socialising is fun, but it takes quite a toll on me, I need to recuperate from all the hectic-ness. London is not for me. Too HECTIC and TOO City-ish for me. I like it slow and steady and peaceful...

Now if you would excuse me...need to rest. :D

I miss...

...my parents.
...my little brother.
...my brothers.
...my family.
...everyone in Brunei.

I had a sudden bout of homesickness.

Past Posts...

Okay, this post that I am gonna paste (cut from my friendster blog and paste it here). It brought some memories back to me by reading it, so i thought I'd share here too. I have linked a link for that blog here. :D. It's written in both Malay and English, and mostly the Malay back then is Bruneian Malay Dialect.. :D

~Hari ini...semalam dan esoknya..

baru abis sahur (jarang sekali kan sahur)...but today kiranya special cos kami di sini celebrate one of our frens punya bday (14/10) and masa ari atu jua (on 03/10)...we had their parties masa sahur..ehhe tapi ari ani parut nda dapat accept food..so aku ikut celebrate dengan minum air kosong ja...

come to think of it...ramadhan is nearly the end, we're in the last 10 days or so in this holy month...macam inda terasa...13/10 marked our 1st month anniversary di UK...and sayu rasanya...teringat one month ago di airport we were being sent by family members...(cukup dengan airmata) wuhuu!! hehehe well now kami di sini...macam inda caya la...but its real..

I dont know what my future holds for me..but all i can think is make the best of today and learn from the past...and then plan a lil bit ahead to make sure im ready for anything that lies in my path...watever it is..i'll try to accept it..(like wat this quote says...god grant me the serenity to accept things that i cannot change, the courage to change things that i can and the wisdom to know the difference) or something like that...

ehheeh so...

at this point aku ngantuk dah so ciao...

yours truly

lufias~

In order to move on...looking back and laughing at what you did in the past is the only cure. :D

Inspired.

Basically I was doing nothing before this - internet wise. I had to rely on the computers in the Information Commons in my university to update myself with whatever things that I want myself to be updated with (ahaha beating around the bush is quite fun). Alright, now, today 17/10 our house finally got connected wirelessly to the internet. The speed is dismal but still bearable, I suppose. If it is unbearably slow, we might try to change to another broadband service provider.

I guess, I'm grateful that our house 'finally' got connected! ehehe 2 weeks plus of waiting is not good for my nerve.

The above writing act as an opening to the new season of my blog. Unofficial posts were written previously, but it was more or less sort of saying that I safely arrived in Sheffield, settled in, got everything in order, make new friends and stuff like that - a kind of prelude if you want. But now, today, I want to officially write a blow by blow account (if i can manage it) of what happened. For example, the days before I went to UK, the day that I was going to UK (at the airport), in Dubai, in London Heathrow, the bus station, etc.

The inspiration to write this sorta official post for the new season (hehehe), believe it or not, has always been there, but I wasn't inspired 'enough' to write it down. The inspiration came from reading a blog that is almost as young as mine but has 9 times more readers than me. Well, as i said earlier, I wasn't looking for readership (but if i do have 'loyal' readers, no matter who you are, i really appreciate it from the bottom my heart), the fact that I want to write and keep this blog alive is because I wanted to immortalized my thoughts, maybe not for forever, but just enough time for me to reminisce what I did, and remember me and my friends went through - happy, sad and bitter times. Walking down the bitter sweet memory lane if you must call it. :D. This is my reason, in fact, I originally had a blog in Friendster, started in 2004...still accessible, but no updates. There you can read about my earlier exlpoits (ahahha)...my experiences...and everything else that only now can be called as bitter sweet memories. :D. and also the author has a sincere flair to it that made me think more of keeping this blog alive and well updated. (I won't promise you anything but I will try my best to make it grow). So that is the final kick for my inspiration...

I think I've written enough so (for now). But rest assured I will write again in the near future :D

xoxo

soon...

Hey...

wow...i miss blogging! :D

it has been quite a while since i've updated my blog.

reason? well, i'm back in the UK now. We moved house. and as usual new houses are incomplete...well in a sense. ehhe it's complete with everything a house should (that is, complete with all the basic utilities - water, electricity, gas) and of course the furniture...but secondary utilities such as phone lines, tv subscription as well as broadband/internet connection need to be added...hence the reason why I wasnt able to blog.

However, soon our house will have the broadband connection that my housemates and I coveted...eheh so, i might be able to blog on a much regular basis. :D

yeay!!

it's saturday afternoon here, im at the information commons in Uni...i've been here for an hour now...well apart from telling you that im not sure what i will blog about

oh yea...

I MISS HOME ALREADY!!!

hmmm it's been almost two weeks i am here in the UK...and i really miss home...the thought of not celebrating raya for another year is so sad to me...and hmmm alright i dont wanna get depressed about this...so i better stop writing about it and get on with life and shop!!!

oh yea the other day i went out and bought a white ZARA shoe!! hehehe it felt nice..and i wont tell you how much it cost.. :D

see ya!

Me, me and me...

I told you...im gonna make a post about me, me and ME!! ehehhe

well i would like to quote Chandler from F.R.I.E.N.D.S

"we know me, we like me, please let me be happy!"

hehehe well sometimes in life...you might feel that you want everything to go your own way, it's not wrong (if you say its wrong, you should read a few lines back...i said 'sometimes')....

Selfishness is an innate feeling that most/all of us have. Sometimes you gotta be selfish, sometimes you gotta be selfless and make others first, sometimes...not all the times.

You know me (yes you do!!!)...and you like me (is it?)...so please let me happy!! (pweetty please!!! <-- here's when I pull my 'seposen' face a.k.a one cent face)...hahaha

as you might notice...this post is another rambling kinda post ahhaha so bear with me. :D

in fact..

hmm

lets not!

i wanna stop writing now...(not blogging)

i wanna end this post now...

so i see ya! hehehe

Selamat Menyambut Bulan Ramadhan

Hey...

so, this entry is about the Holy Month of Ramadhan...

so to all my muslim brothers and sisters...happy fasting and hope you achieve a perfect month of Ramadhan! Amiin! :D

late night

it's not so late (at least not so late by my standard). the clock on my mobile shows its 2.04 am. I'm usually still up at these hours either watching tv or reading (you have to know, i have a passion for reading).

Okay...why dont i elaborate on this hobby of mine. I only began to read English books quite recently ( i think it's recent...), since 1997 that's around a decade ago, when i was 13. You see, i was kinda struggling in my English class back then.

I was in secondary 1 in the best and elite highschool in Brunei...it used to be and i hope it's still is. Hahaha I mean that school has the greatest concentration of braniac in Brunei - nerds, geeks you might think...but we were not just confined to those categories, we were brilliant...our teachers used to say we were the cream of the cream meaning we were siphoned from the best of the best in the country. Best in everything. From academic to non-academic. But i'm not sure about it now...not because it's not the best but because i've not been up-to-date with the development of that school.

Alright, the above lines are just some background info. All the students were quite fluent in English. I wasn't. So my English teacher, Mr David Williams, a great teacher and a cool one at that, told me to read...cos it's the only thing to improve my English. I took his advice and by just doing that, i am proud to say, i am good and quite proficient in the language. Back then people might cringe at how bad my English was, now i cringe at people who act like they know the language...bad grammar, wrong pronunciation, wrong usage of word/verb bla bla adjectives set me off...

but then...sometimes i do make mistakes. my english is not great yet...but i am continuously improving it.

so read up.

My Malay? My Bahasa Melayu?...well i won't abandon my mother tongue...ehehe...

but then that's another story for me to tell.

yeah...maybe i should try writing a long post in Malay...just to see how well i can write in malay.

:D

also...i wanna point out...i do make mistakes, so if any of you out there happen to stumble upon my blog and read it. then you find out i made a mistake in my english...then im sorry ehehhe i do make mistakes and im far from perfect :D
