guilty pleasures!

i havent had the pleasure to indulge myself fully...=) hahaha

I have to save up..after all being 'unemployed' does mean money is non-existent. Hehehe. And i dont really care n dont quite agree with those who said jobseekers now are choosy. I applied everywhere and 3 months i am still here 'seeking jobs'. Now who is choosy ones? And lets reduce the red tape! Hahaha enough about that.

Yesterday. I cut my hair short. After all its getting unmanageable. Then watched Madagascar2 with my lil bro n stephanie n ozy...the movie was hilarious! Hilarious-er than the last one (in my opinion) hehehe. And banyak movie (cartoons n sum actions ones) that i wont wana miss. ;)

The topic? About guilty pleasures? Yea movies are one of em..i luv watching movies. N if im stil in the UK id probably make watching 'plays' my other guilty pleasure..haha the last n only play i watched there was JUMP! The korean production it was amazingly gud tho i sat at the last row! Hahaha...

Indulging in choc cakes! Hmmm nyum nyum! N i miss reading bleach n naruto manga wait wait this is my one of my hobbies - reading mangas. Collecting books n reading them..i love books..i remember getting my first favourite set of books..it was a gift of 3 Harry Potter books back in 1999. That 3 books started my growing interest in the fictional n magical worlds, fantasy where evil beings are vanquished by the force of good..hmmm hehehe.

Perfumes! Hahaha i love collecting perfumes. Plus it makes you smell good! Hahaha...it all started in 1998...i really love the smell of Kenzo for men (the one in the dark blue bottle)..yeah i didnt have that perfume back then, bt i found it again when i was in Harrods during boxing day sale! Hahaha bt back then i collected a lot of CK perfumes..until now i still buy n use CK perfumes, frm CK One, Escape, Eternity, Crave, CKin2U, Euphoria.. Bt there are also other brands that i use...

Hmmm well? I love watching movies. Indulge myself in choc cakes. Immersed in watching anime especially bleach n naruto. Relax n read books. Make myself smell gud! Hehehe

Reminiscing

Sometimes it is hard to think about the future when everything seems so uncertain. That's why sometimes I take comfort in the past. I call it reminiscing.

Sometimes facing the mundane of the present can be overwhelming. That's why I usually look back 'hey! I've done that, ì've been there, i did this, i was there...i can do it all over again'.

Don't get me wrong, im not stressed or depressed. How can i be depressed when im home doing nuthing?! But yea, believe me after a while it aint so sweet anyMOHHH! ahahaha.!

I need a confidence boost. I need to get back in shape.

And will someone please, GIMME A JOB ALREADY! HEHEHEHE. (cos the photocopying company is getting richer with my photocopying customership) hehehe

Oh..dis is my first post i typed using my fon..hahaha

Ciao!

Long absences?

Hello dear readers! :D

It's been quite a long absent, isn't it?...My absence from blogging.

Fear not! I am still around, safe and sound in Brunei! ahaha..Yea! I'm back in Brunei and this time for quite some time. I completed my life's chapter as a student! YEAY!

And now I'm going through what I call an unemployment phase. You see unemployment is inevitable. Therefore, regardless of what economists might say about having the right condition to achieve zero unemployment rate, it is impossible! ahah

Yeap, I graduated with honours from University of Sheffield! It was the time of my life! The pinnacle of my 2 decades of studying! I was proud and still am of myself. And nothing made me happier on the day of graduation, when my parents and my lil bro attending it (though i would love my other two brothers to attend it too,but what to do!..hehe) I am proud to have made everyone around me proud. Especially to a great extent my whole family!, and my friends! Yeay BABY! I GOT A DEGREE!..(okay enough self-flattery! hehe :D)

Thank you for the support you all have given me!

Alright, that's the basic update so far!

Now it's been a month or so since I came back from UK. I did my fair share of job hunting. I sat for a test for a job screening/whatever...I am still unemployed..but insyaAllah, with all your prayers I hope soon in the near future (next week?? ehehe) I will get a job! AMIN!!! But for now, I love the resting period of having no responsibility, no homework, no tutorial, no lectures...just pure oafish/lazyish stuff! ahaha

Also, it's the month of Ramadhan! The first day of fasting for all Bruneians in Brunei. So I would love to convey and wish you all HAPPY FASTING and semoga amal ibadat that we have done and will do will be accepted by Allah S.W.T. AMIN!

So guys and gals

I gotta take off! Ciao

Love,
Lufias! :D

Plans

Plans. Plans. Plans.

Ultimately I hope and InsyaAllah, everything will fall according to my plans.

I just need to tie a few loose ends.

What AM I TALKING about?.

Plans. Plans. Plans.

Alright, I'm talking about my whole July plan. I like to plan things in advance so that I can enjoy spontaneous things in between. You get what I mean?

I might like stuff to be spontaneous. But I also like to plan things ahead. Since the landlord "planned" to give us a last minute notice, all my original plans had to be aborted. (I am holding grudges over that old man's selfish action!). By the way 'aborted' sounded so official, like military official type thing. I guess the right word would be I had to re-organized my plans that I had in mind for June.

Since, I had everything kinda figured out, I already have quite a solid plans packed with stuff I think I might enjoy. Hmmmm I wanna rephrase that last sentence, 'I already have solid plans packed with stuff I will enjoy.' hehehe life mesti enjoy kan?. ehehhe not really!..but the point is..just enjoy life with whatever God gives us. Then we'll surely be quite happy. :D

For the remainder of this month, I will finish packing my stuff that I am going to ship. The shipping company will collect my personal effects this coming 27th. After that, the burden of packing will lessen a bit. But we still need to pack house stuff. I don't really need the kitchen wares or whatever is in the kitchen. Except for the green mug/tumbler - my sorta unofficial/official mug in this house (I feel weird and possessive if I saw someone using it. ehhehe), and my green spoon, my green fork and my green teaspoon, and also my blue-on-the-edge white plate. Hehehe...but to be on the safe side, I might need a few other stuff as well. As of now, I can't really think of anything that I need.

We're gonna officially move out from this house on the morning of first July and that first of July will mark the beginning of my plan for July.

1st July : I will be leaving Sheffield at 19.27hours from Sheffield Station to London St. Pancras International Station. In London, I will stay for 14 days in Brunei Hall. Pay a minimal rent which will allow me to save some ka-ching!. ahhaha Then I'm not sure what I am gonna do in London. I haven't planned it out yet. I guess the spontaneity will begin there. I'm sure I will have lots to do!. Hehehe

9th July and 11th July : Me, Vi and Mirul will depart for Manchester and visit Steph there. Several sure things will take place. We will surely eat chicken from PizzaCo. Go to this Thai restaurant and order their Thai Ice tea...slurrrp! and sia sia pun dulu...the rest will depend on our moods. Then the three of us will go back to London on the 11th.

10th July : The four of us, Me, Steph, Vi and Mirul will go to Blackpool Pleasure Beach from Manchester. (Please note that it's not a raunchy place, it's a theme park with beaches and stuff). We'll spend a day there and just have fun!. We will be spending the whole day there and will catch a train back to Manchester on the same day.

11th July : Well I already told you guys that Me, Vi and Mirul will depart for London from Manchester. :)

11th July - 14th July : I haven't planned anything on these dates. But I'm sure I will look around Oxford street and go into each shop they have there, to see the stuff they're selling. Hahah...and probably buy some. Since SUMMER SALE is on! But I will need to save some ka-ching!...since I might need to use 'em when my parents and lil' bro come here.

14th July : I will head back to Sheffield (BY BUS!!! arghghgh!!) and move into Opal!...I already booked a studio room which I will spend approximately 7 days in it. It's quite spacey, with en-suite bathroom/toilet. Also it has a small fridge and stove. It's quite a bargain, and I didn't even think about it until today (25th June). I was helping Rashie move her stuff to Opal and when I saw her room and Naseeq's room and I just thought to myself I should rent one too..so I did. It looks good and the problem of where will my parents and my lil' bro sleep is solved!...I almost forgot!! My result will be out today (not today 26th June, toady as in 14th July). As well as my degree classification!. Everyone. Pray all the best for me yea?..Thank You! :D

15th July : My king's birthday, the Sultan of Brunei's Birthday. Long live the King! :D.. Also Vi and Mirul will be visiting Sheffield (finally!! hehhee yeay!!)..There's nothing much to see in Sheffield. It's just a city. It's an industrial city which used to (or still is) famous for it's steel production (correct me if I am wrong eheh). The shops are quite similar...I think I just wanna show her how Sheffield looks like. HEHEHe..

17th July : Me, Vi and Mirul will depart for London. Again!!?. Well, Vi and Mirul are going back to Brunei Hall and as for me, I will stay one night in Brunei Hall before I pick up my parents and lil' bro from Heathrow on the 18th.

18th July : The arrival of my parents and lil' bro from Brunei. I will pick them from Heathrow and around 12ish we'll be on our way to Sheffield.

21st July : InsyaAllah. I WILL GRADUATE! and wear my GBP329.00 graduation robe..(hehehe motive for the price?...saja! to show how much I had to freaking save for it ehhehe)

22nd July : Leave Sheffield. And bring my memories of the fond times I experienced in Sheffield (hmmm why is my eyes getting blurry?...and why is there sorta like water thing in it?...) I AM GONNA MISS SHEFFIELD!! and miss the people who made my SHEFFIELD experience worth my life. yea you know who you guys are... :D

22nd July : Arrive in London.

23rd July : Paris Day-trip with parents and lil' bro. :D My dad wants to see the Eiffel Tower. Maybe, and if time permits I'll bring them around Paris and sight see a lil bit more than just the Eiffel Tower. Then go back to London.

26th July : Selamat Tinggal UK. I will cherish all the fond memories.

27th July : Selamat pulang ke tanah air yang tercinta. Brunei Darussalam.

InsyaAllah, everything will run smoothly. Amin.
p/s: I love you..ahah no la, just kidding, these are just my plans, there are sorta confirmed but I hope and pray everything will go accordingly.

:D

well that's it for today folks.
take care

Kenangan...

Memories.

Kenangan or in English - Memories are what we have and accumulate over the course of our life. For me, it's something that kinda affected me in the past. To me, it's something bitter, something sweet. Something that I do alone, something that I do and share with people I love, people I hate, or just people I met and then never meet again. Something said. Something that fills the emptiness in me. Something that can mengundang air mata

Over the course of 24 years, I think I'm lucky to have quite a good mix of memories. Some are bitter, some are sweet, mostly sweet, some are better to be forgotten, and some are stupid that if dipikirkan semula will make me laugh.

Memories! Imagine if you lost it. It's gonna suck isn't it?

I think I can separate my memories to four categories so far....ahahha.

First my childhood memories. These are not so clear to me...like I can't remember when and what kinda day it was. But I think i can remember what I did and who was/were involved. Like this time when I was in Kindergarten 1, I used to have long hair. One day, my dad brought me to an Indian barber shop. Since it was my first time there, and I don't really know what sort of place is a barber shop I just sorta not care. But I DO CARE when I found out that my long hair was cut short! really short..it was sorta botak...not just sorta botak I think. I was botak! That got me howling - in other words crying my eyes out. In the car on the way back home, I remembered I was howling like crazy in the car. Until my dad stopped the car in the middle of somewhere (in the middle of nowhere, to me back then) and after several failed attempts to stop me crying he pulled his sternest voice and told me he'd leave me there if I didn't stop crying that moment. I DID stop crying. ehehe Well of course, he didn't mean to leave me there. I can't remember much what happened after that. I remembered the next day, in school, I wore a cap in class. I didn't want my whole classmates to know I was botak!...but then the teacher asked me to put away my cap...after several times being asked by the teacher, I reluctantly put that cap away....and was bracing myself for whatever my classmates would say...surprisingly no one said anything and my teacher said I looked cute..and 'lawa' the haircut...ahaha how can a botak cut be lawa!!?? ahaha...oh well, at least after that I didn't really care about my botakness...afterall, I was four years old, and it just added up to my cuteness...ahah

Also, I was kinda a very manja grandson...still a manja grandson especially to my mum's parents - Nini Aji and Nini Hjh ~I think~ (what do you say cuz? ehhehe). Well, as any other ordinary kids in the world, I had both set of grandparents. I'm more rapat with my mum's parents. But I do occasionally visited my late-grandparents - my dad's parents- (May God rest their souls..Amin!) in Kampong Ayer (the so-called Venice of Asia)...I miss them, I rarely got to see them but I cherish all the memories I have of them...Since they used to live in the water village, I got to play fishing with my uncles who made a made up fishing poles...and one time, I got to catch a live crab! eheh it was fun! After they moved on land, during one raya my late-grandpa gave a me a very big kite!! ~tears~...I miss them so much...I'll remember you in my prayers.

Oh well, the second category is my primary school years, this was when I started my public school life. I remembered when I was in pre-school back in 1990 I kinda had my first experience of 'escaping' from attending the assembly. That time Brunei was shaken by the a tremor of something...I can't remember from what, but being a kid with full of imagination, I took my mum's advice to be careful to the extreme. I managed to convince several friends to take cover with me behind the toilet in case 'an earthquake' happens. I think I was saying something about a monster and there's a superhero (much like Ultraman) that's causing the tremor/earthquake from their fighting...Ahahah...and in the end...my pre-school teacher gave me a pretty good 'rotan' for not attending the morning assembly...:D hehehe I was six then! ehehe

On my performance in school...I guess I was always a good student with good grades. I didn't remember doing much work or study that hard. But I always managed to be ~blush~ the top of the class..every year hehehe. One time when I was in primary four, as usual I was number one and my mum had to sign the report card in school. She had a good talk with my class teacher. At home, my mum scolded me because apparently I talked too much in class ahahahah!...Well, thanks to the effort that I made during those years in primary school, I managed to get into the prestigious and the premier secondary school in the whole of Brunei - Maktab Sains. I never heard of that school until after the last few months of primary six. :D I was so proud of myself to make my mum the proudest mum and dad on the day that I got my result. That was in 1996.

The third category...are my memories when I spent se7en years of almost my entire teenage life in Maktab Sains. I can say that, that Maktab Sains was my second home!..with my own set of family...I met and made and still maintained wonderful relationship with equally wonderful people whom I am proud to call my friends. Of the lot, and initially I was close to just five. And when I am not hanging out with the five, I will always hang out with two. Alright the five are my bestest friends in the whole wide world -Vi, Bukhari, Steph, Izzul and Fadz and later we were joined by Azimas, Faz and Wat (and now there are 9 of us)...the two were my buddies - Azim and Zuraime. Azim and Zuraime as well as me were the three tallest guys in our level. It was 1997, we were new to Maktab Sains, and the three of us were quite popular (ehhehe)...because out of the the rest of the boys who just entered Maktab Sains we, as I mentioned before, were the tallest ones. The rest were still quite short..:D.. Don't get me wrong...I do hang out with the rest of the batch. And one girl who always like my smile was Wana...everytime I smiled she will give this cute girlish laughter/giggle...she said my teeth were perfect..ehhe it was fun and everyone of us were so innocent back then..ehhe She was the first girl that I notice to notice me..eheh. I had several crushes back then but I didn't really act on it..~blush~ ahahha and I never imagined that Mizah (one of the popular girls from one of the popular groups in school) will be my housemate!!! ehhehe I think I did several naughty (not that kind of naughty ehhe) things during my years there...Once, due to peer pressure, we jumped off from the first floor (it wasn't really high)...eventhough it wasn't high, one of us did get injured! Well we were only in form one! and we were bullied by this big bully and bully-friends (plus we were boys, so we don't wanna lose our boy-pride ehehe) to jump off from the first floor. One of our friends broke his leg or tore his ligaments and we all got scared. BUT we were responsible enough to help him! That's what I called friendship! Except for those bullies who ran away like scared chicken!(last i heard one of them became a teacher! hehehe) Ahahah...I think it was sort of a sensational news then...FORM ONE BOY BROKE HIS LEG JUMPING OFF FROM FIRST FLOOR..eheh sorry teacher! and thank god we were not punished!

In form three, I started tuition...ahahaha it was the rage back then for parents to send their kids to tuition school!...I also met Fish during tuition, and as fate would have it, we are now housemates!...I never imagined that we would cross paths back then...:D hehehe

Maktab Sains gave me a lot opportunities, it was there that I first rode on a helicopter on our visit to one of Brunei's Oil rigs in 1999..I had my first time away from my family for ten days in 2000, because I was sent to Singapore for Apec Youth Science Festival with lots of different and new friends. Lost a friend, a dear friend to a car accident also in 2000. Almost the whole of my batch were involved in the APEC choir, in which we perform choir in front of the APEC Heads of Government, this include President Bill Clinton! Also in 2000. Also I was chosen to be the Head Boy in 2002. My first time building a robot...not really real and clever robot..just a basic robot that can differentiate between white and black...well using sensors, when it 'sees' white it'll move, and when it 'sees' black it stopped..!. And thanks to Stephanie who diligently oversaw the preparation of Graduation Night our batch managed to put quite an impression to all the teachers :D. I miss Maktab Sains...I miss you guys!!

The fourth category...are my memories after I finished highschool/form six in which I spent 7 months working and my memories up till now..

but that's another story for another time...for now I think I've written quite a long one ...

take care..
keep your memories with you

36 days...

I've been absent from blogging. Exam's over! Alhamdulillah! (i think i covered this topic a few posts ago). Oh yea, I was rambling about some problem that kinda dampen my holiday (a.k.a post exam holiday). As you all know I finished my exam on the 4th of June, a couple of weeks ago. As this is my final year here, I already made plans from my holidays, shipping of my stuff back to Brunei, planning when to go to London (my kinda favourite hang out city in the UK - apart from Sheffield (: ) and plans for my parents' and lil bro' visit to UK...bla bla bla...Since i figured all those stuff already before the exam and intermittently during the exam week, i thought i could relax after my exam and spend a couple or more weeks before i got busy again. BUT NO!!!

The landlord knocked on our door on the 8th (a sunday)...while i was playing game on my laptop..Mizah opened the door and after what seems half a minute she knocked on my door...'you see'...my landlord knows how to speak english..BUT NOT WELL...usually there need to be a couple of us around to understand what he's saying..what one of us can't understand the other might understand what he's trying to communicate. Moving on with the story, well he dropped the bomb that we are required to move out from the house on the 30th June. Well I accept that fact (it was in our contract)...BUT his notice was a bit too late! We told him that we already talk to his son about staying in the house for another month and the son said alright, it's okay...That was just a verbal contract..not so binding as I would have wanted it...but his visit on that particular sunday, ruined my mood for the whole day. RUINED the mood for everyone in the house...How can it not ruin our mood...he only gave us that notice on a Sunday of the first week of the month that we're supposed to move out. Moreover, we approached his son (whom we thought was the landlord, since he's been handling our contract stuff, we've been calling him about house matters), yea we approached his son sometime in late March or in April...he could've told us in May if he decided not to have us rent his house for another month..BUT NO, he had to tell us on 8th June and left us with 15 days (excluding weekends) to sort everything out!...(Till now, I'm still 'sakit hati' at that old landlord...)

BUT we managed to pull ourselves together and act quickly to at least prepare us after the 30th.

Alhamdulillah, everything is kinda settled already. Within that week, we accomplished so much, we managed to arrange our shipping, we found a place to stay, we cancelled our subscriptions to our TV provider, broadband, telephone, try to sort out our utility bills and so on...and now I'm back on holiday mood...well I CANT WAIT TO GO TO LONDON THIS JULY...ahahha...and I can't wait to go home..IN 36 DAYS!!! hehhe...

and guys, pray for us that everything will be going as smoothly as possible yea...:D thanks..

i think that's all i wanna write..so see ya all

till then,
take care

Been meaning to...

blog about everything!

I kinda put my blog on an uninformed hiatus since the last post. This is largely due to my final exams. I had so much going on. The papers I sat for were okay...let's hope I'll pass all of the papers albeit there were only two of 'em. I love both of those subjects, I had so much studying Taxation in theory and practice (but I think I can live without the exams) and then I also love auditing (and the same as tax, I can live with just learning it, not the exams).

Recapping from my birthday. I had a blast. Though it was exam week/s, my sweet sweet friends slash housemates slash coursemates ( plus Mel <-- Azmi's gf, also a friend), they managed to surprise me! and I love the green Sheffield Uni Hoodie...I love green and I want that Sheffield Uni Hoodie..and I got the best from the best people around :D Not mentioning tons of messages I got from my bestfriends, friends, acquaintances and basically everyone who greeted me on that special day. It felt wonderful, and as a result it turned out to be a stress reliever because I was relatively not really stressed out about my exams compared to my 7 other exam periods in the past. Now we're on holiday. We're trying to enjoy it while we can. and and and...well there will be a story that suddenly dampen our holiday mood...wait for the next post :D

below are some pictures we took after the last exam...

20.05.2008.

Hey all!

After the abysmal attempt to write a post in Malay (it's not that I'm no good in the language, but it's just awkward to write using Malay language since all i've been doing here is writing reports and bla bla in English.....ehehhe) I will be experiencing - in fact I am now in what seem a hectic beginning to a hectic schedule.

Wanna know why?

I guess, if I don't talk about it, people won't really mind ehehhe. But yea, I'm still gonna talk about. It's gonna be exam week soon. AND the uni (through no fault of theirs - but still i'm a bit grudging eheh) sent Multiple recipient email thingy, saying that "during bla bla exam week bla bla the library bla bla..."(or sumthing along those lines) it's not so much the info that got me 'grudging' ehehe it's the DATE!

the DATE?...of course the date...they say starting on the 26 of May....bla bla...is the exam week!! and that DATE is my birthday!! ehhehe macam tah aku selalu celebrate bday ku..I don't really mind having un-celebrated bday...as oposed to un-greeted bday.. :D so greet me on my bday! ehehhe

Enough about me and bday. My exam will be on 28th May and my first paper will be Taxation in Theory and Practice! My LAST exam will be on 4th June and the paper is Auditing. So far I've revised a bit on Tax..I got myself familiar with the terms and what not...and bla bla bla...ehehhe but I haven't touch anything on auditing...and i already decided that i will tackle that after my tax exam. And I still need to do my last coursework...due in 2 days time..on the 23rd. HAISH!!!

why why why why why why why? ehehhe ~sigh~

forgive me..i just need to vent off my sudden frustration and panic and complete hopelessness...

I'm actually alright. but i just need to write sumthing here. :D

alright then..i gotta go back and study...

wish me luck!

oh yea..if you all notice, i started linking blogs that link my blog in their blogs (wah..i managed to tie/twist my tongue...try saying 'linking blogs that link my blog in their blogs' really fast..i just tried it...errr and it didn't really tie or twist my tongue..must be my imagination). Getting back to the topic of people linking me, these blogs are a good read..and i enjoy their musings, writings and what not...a couple of them are friends..so if you already link me and I haven't linked you back...get in touch with me yea..i'll link you back :D

ciao..

Scenes from Back Home

I snatched these photos illegally from my cousin Mimah's blog (or more known to her friends as Mimi). hehehe (Cuz..if you're reading this...sorry Lai Mim, ambil the pics without prior permission ehehhe). These photos reminded me of the many many functions that we had back at home...usually at my Grandparents house..Nini Aji and Nini Hajah.

These photos were taken during a bedikir and doa selamat function at my Grandparents' house in Mata-Mata.

Alai Zuka...playing with the phone
(my mum's youngest sister's son)

clockwise from front left
Alai Didi (my cousin), Alai Zuka (my cousin), Mami (my aunt) , Uda Nor (my aunt) , My Mum, Asai Nani (my aunt) and Bu Mil (my aunt)...probably preparing the cakes or kuihs for the dikir

alai Mimah (the owner of the pics) with three of the baby cousins - Alai Zuka, Alai Zawanah and Alai Mumtazah - PEACE!

and the wrapped and well-organised food..LOOKS SO NYAMAN!!
i want ALL...sia-sia pun!

Traditional Kuih also served...I wish I was home. ONLY THREE MONTHS LEFT!! YEAY!!

That's all the pictures that I can 'steal' ehehhe I didn't see my lil bro's pic and the rest of the family tho...but it's good to see them and hear them doing well

Miss You Guys A Lot. Having lots of family members mean you can always count on one or all of them...and you know they will support you no matter what...The wrongs will definitely be frowned upon but not gone unforgiven. The pride will be shared and glory to all.

I think the last paragraph, I went on a lil on the rambling side..eheh

anyways I GOTTA SLEEP..it's LATE ALREADY!

see ya around

Personal DNA..

Your True Self Revealed...

Hehehe...I took this test and found it interesting, and here's my result

This is how the website interpret me...

about you
You are a Creator

Your imagination, confidence, willingness to explore, and appreciation of beauty make you a CREATOR.

You are independent, and you enjoy your self-sufficiency.

Defying convention, you are very innovative, and you have a vivid imagination.

The look of things is important to you, and you have a keen eye for aesthetic beauty in multiple arenas.

You have a strong interest in what is new and exciting—and that includes forging ahead with new ideas, not simply discovering what is already out there.

Your eagerness to seek new and varied experiences leads you into many different situations.

You're not set on one way of doing things, and you are creative when it comes to finding novel solutions to complex problems.

You trust yourself to be innovative and resourceful.

Your confidence allows you to take your general awareness and channel it into creativity.

You're not afraid to let your emotions guide you, and you're generally considerate of others' feelings as well.

You tend to do things on the spur of the moment, not sticking to a set schedule.

You have a strong sense of style and value your personal presentation - friends may even seek your style advice from time to time.

You tend to believe that things happen for a reason, and that not everything is under our control.

and this is how the website tell me how i relate with others

how you relate to others
You are Attentive

Because you like spending time with others, understand their feelings, and often know what is best for them, you are ATTENTIVE.

Some people are merely concerned about others, but you take action, helping people when you have the opportunity.

Although you care about others, you are hesitant to trust them to act in the best way on their own.

You don't let your concerns with people go unnoticed: if someone has hurt your feelings, that person will hear about it.

People energize and excite you—you are able to have fun and be yourself when you're around others.

You also learn a lot about yourself by talking things out with people, even if you don't always share things that are important to you.

You have a strong sense of right and wrong, and you're not hesitant to express yourself.

Understanding the dynamics of a situation is an important skill that you have, and you often intervene to clarify things for others.

Well...I'm not sure whether this is true of me but...some are :D heheh

Weekend to weekend

k

Hmm...I've been neglecting my duty to my blog for quite a while now. :D

No reasons what-so-ever for the lack of posts. Hahaha Do I need to have a reason? I don't think so Hehehe

The title says 'Weekend to weekend', so I'm gonna summarise whatever things that I've been up from weekend to weekend ahahah

and the last post is about my assignments - guess what?!..All of them are DONE! and last week was a hell of a week. Excruciatingly cramped with assignments. The week before last week, I had one assignment (as per the last post)...and 2 assignments waited after I finished that one - The Tax assignment (actually it was a test) and the second one was Case Studies in Accounting assignment (which I completely don't know what to write and have absolutely no idea what it was - until the guys told me what it was) ahhaha

but then in between the three assignments, i got to have a bit of a getaway weekend. AHAHHA! :D

It was supposed to be just a Manchester Getaway. You see, last last weekend (19th - 20th April) I went to Manchester, to see the BruManch Society Badminton Tournament. I'm not much of sport person this year - and well I've never been much of sports person anyway..hahah. So yea, I went to Manchester after a light nudge from Vi...she said Fadz and her sister were taking part in that tourney. So! Being a good friend that I was, I straightaway agreed and planned that I will be going to Manchester that weekend to support 'Cess Fadz and 'Cess Azemah, as well as the Sheffield Team (Azi and Zur) as well as Rashid and Quddus.

Come Saturday 19th..I went to Sheffield Station and bought a Saver Return ticket to Manchester. Boarded the train and arrived in Manchester...BUT i didn't know where it took place. HAhaha...So I called Steph, one of my bestfriend who practically live/study in Manchester, however she was not in Manchester, she was on her way from London with Vi to Manchester. Called her, ask the directions then by pure luck and my good instinct (ehehhe) I located the place safely (just under half an hour - more like 20mins +) ehhehe.

Spotted Rashid and Quddus first and then spotted 'Cess Azemah and 'Cess Fadz. Went over to their spot and said my hi's and everything. then I spotted Azi and Zur...chatted and watched them play...then Vi and Steph arrived. Then we all just watched how the tourney progressed. In the end - 'Cess Fadz and 'Cess Azemah won the women's doubles whilst Azi and Zur won the third place (but seriously i expected Azi and Zur to be first or second - oh well that's the rule of games...:D). Rashid and Quddus had to settle for fourth place in the men's double. All in all it was a good and fun tournament!.

After that, we went to this Italian restaurant...kinda posh...but since we didn't make a reservation beforehand, the manager's service was extremely POOR! ahhaha...who cares we're customers we should be allowed to eat right...and when we asked when did he expect the reserved customers to come, he said at SEVEN pm!! It was a good two hour before these customers arrived. He should be happy to 'layan' us right? I mean, they were 17 of us who are gonna eat there, he should be happy to receive us. Oh well...ehhe in the end we managed to spend 2 hours there just to spite that guy! eheheh

I was planning to crash at Steph's apartment with Vi and Steph. But after a considerable nudge by 'Cess Azemah, the three of us changed plans and bumped at 'Cess Azemah's place, somewhere in Coventry. But before that we went to Birmingham to have dinner at 'Cess Fadz's friend. It took 1hour and half..but felt like forever to go there! ehehhe and after a very nice dinner we proceeded to head back and chill at Cess Azemah's place.

On the way there, Steph introduced a very interesting game "This is a game of clicks" eheheh an interesting game. ehhehe We played in the car from Birmingham till we arrive to the house in Coventry...ahahha and then we just chill....BUT THERE...i fell in love with 'Cess Azemah's three pure-bred Bengal cats! they were so cute! ahahha LEO, LIBRA and OREO...ehhehe

We played with them and then they sorta got bored of us and leave us alone hehe then we just talked and talked and talked and talked till 5 am! ehhehe

Leo or Libra...cos both of 'em got the same spots, except that Leo was bigger and a male :D
Look at the cat...it's got that smoldering look..and the spots are j
ust exotic ahahah
I WANT ONE!

Vi and Leo

Me and Oreo, eheh spying on a FAT pigeon outside

and we slept till late...well, i didn't really sleep that much, by eight am...i was already wide awake and couldn't sleep anymore, so i went to the toilet and just 'lepak' in the living/tv room. By 12 o'clock everyone was awake...then we had a 'total pig out day!' ehehhe we just sat there chatting and continue to chat and chat and chat till 5. hehehe IT WAS FUN! I should call it the three city weekend getaway...HAHAHA...lama sudah inda hang out with them properly and catch up with old friends and reminisce sweet ol' times..eheheh

And the funny thing was, I only planned to stay in Manchester and then by some odd luck and pure chance I get to veer off from my plans..this happened quite a lot of times lately..ehehe

An example...whenever I go to London for a visit of two or three days, i will highly likely extend my stay a day or two/three days..heheheh...always without fail :D

I kinda like it. I mean I kinda like the spontaneity...ehehhe planned things are sometimes stressful..

I wanna write more...but somehow my creative juices are used up already..:D

I leave you guys with this

~I had a dream we went away,
left the city for a day
you took me South on a plane
showed me Spain or somewhere
In reality you're not so keen to show me anything
and I thought you like me...~

Assignments Assignments Assignments...

One down..TWO TO GO...this month..eheh

technically i'm not done yet with my auditing assignment. but i'm still at 1232 words as opposed to the 2000 maximum word limit that my lecturer require us to do. But she didn't say anything about the minimum word limit..soooo I suppose the safest course of action for me to do is just write a couple more hundred words and I'll be done...my aim is above 1500, even if i do go above 1500 i won't mind..since the maximum is 2000 and i doubt i'll have enough materials and information without having to repeat myself over and over. so yea...i'll be done soon. and yea i spent 12hours doing it...not exactly..but i went to the IC at around 7pm last night...and i suppose i can be done by 7am this morning! and it's only 5.30am now. so...got plenty of time to put that 300+ more words..

i wish i can do my essay and the flow of the words is as easy as writing this post..hehehe well i think i gotta go back to squeezing my brain cells to write that last few hundred words! BANZAIIII!!!

Something I do when...

...I CAN'T SLEEP!

Easter holidays are over. In fact it's been over for almost a week already. The second half of the semester started on Monday and from then on we've been waking up super early in the morning (compared to when we're on holiday). Hehehe waking up at 7 or 8 in the morning is considered to be very early for me. SERIOUSLY...

And tonight, considering that tomorrow is the weekend, I CAN'T SLEEP. I mean I kinda want to stock up on my sleep since I won't be getting much of it next week and the week after. But also I'm suspecting that I'm kinda worried on so many things at the moment.

First and foremost is my studies. I think April will be a killer month. Since I have sorta 3 assignments due this month. The first is due next week. It's my Auditing module. So far it's straight forward nothing to worry about, I've got the content and enough information to get it right. However I can't get it started. I've got 6 days to do it. Heck! I've done assignments in less time than this (hahah). Still, I've got to get it done, PREFERABLY THIS WEEKEND and hand it early, on MONDAY?..hehhe I'll try! BANZAIiIII!

The second assignment is kinda okay. I haven't prepared for it. It's a test and constitute around 25% of the course. This is tax. I'm not too worried about it too...but there's always the question of time and trying to understand and remember the facts.

The third assignment is worrisome. Even after the tutorial that was supposed to help me and the rest to understand it and give us guidance on how to approach I can't seem to understand it. I just nod and smile and put this all knowing look this morning!. The lecturer weren't helpful either, though he did put a lot of effort. *sigh*....But I think I'll get it done.

Apart from studies...I'm actually not really worried about anything else. Everyone back home is alright. Except for my grandparents, they were kinda not feeling well and my grandpa was hospitalized for a few nights. The last time I called my mum and grandma (on her cellphone! wah!! techno-granny hehehe), they assured me everyone is fine. So yeah...everything is fine.

I JUST CAN'T SLEEP. Maybe the cadbury chocolate bar I ate that's keeping me up!. I'm listening to various music and songs at the moment - mostly not so new songs, some of it are malay, some Japanese, a couple of English songs, some indonesians...only those that i deem worthy to be heard by me (HAHHAHA). Let's talk about my music preference. I have no music(al) preferences whatsoever. But I just can't bring myself to listen to the current era of English and some Malays/Asian songs anymore. I think they lack the art content and basically they're crappier than they used to be (sorry for the generalization...it's just not good anymore). OR I'm getting older. BUT BASICALLY I THINK THEY'RE CRAPPIER than it used be (sorry :D)! There are some exceptions to some current singers but not all and only a few that catches the attention of my supersonic ears. :D once again no offence. I was listening to a medley performed by Siti Nurhaliza and Fazli Zainal, it's actually a cover of old songs - the titles were Itulah Sayang (That's Love), Semalam ku bermimpi (I Dreamt) and Saat Bahagia (Joyous Moments??!). Well the translations are kinda direct but I think you get my drift. After listening to this medley, the lyrics really meant something to the lyricists or the ones who thought of it. The meaning were there. It's an easy listen. I can feel that they were really into it. And it's true, I've watched documentaries about how the artists back in the old days dedicated their lives to entertaining and not in it for the fame or the money!. I think comparing the olden days and now is not fair - since I agree MONEY is everything. But I still like the idea of not being governed by money or motivated by money.

Hehhe...there's my two piece about music. It's been a long time I haven't let out my real feelings here. I've been bottling some serious thoughts.

Like I can be a billionaire but I just haven't got enough zeros in my account to make that amount.

Like I wanna complain a lot. BUT I don't want to complain a lot. I think I'd rather figure the 'why' first and not blame others for it. After all the source might be myself. Furthermore, I'll end up becoming a whiner! Which will be hypocritical of me..cos I HATE WHINERS! La la la la hahaha I still dislike hypocrites. But overgeneralising is bad. Not all hypocrites are bad..they just need to accept who they are and realise what they're doing either by self-enlightenment or being told by people that they are a hypocrite.

Plus I wanna hang out with the old crowd again. Like I miss the touch of the warmth of the sun in Brunei on my skin.

Like I can't wait to go back home and how much I miss my room and my bed. OH yea..on the bed thingy...I think i'm cursed with bed, i mean the mattresses here in the UK. My current mattress is so springy! Not good springy but BAD SPRINGY!..I CAN FEEL THE DAMN SPRINGS POKING MY BACK...well i got no right to complain though, cause I can easily ask the landlord to replace it. But what the heck only a few months left and I can't be bothered to ask. But I do like my bed in the Plaza Athenee even though I slept on it for two nights only :D

Oh! I miss Paris so much. The experience was great. Oh let's talk about Paris in BRIEF...

I spent 4 nights there and 4 days? We visited 'THE' must to visit in Paris. Well not all...but the main ones. We went to the Louvre - well I think I'm not that much of an art person or at least I'm not into those paintings depicting angels, naked babies suckling on their mothers' 'you-know-whats' and semi nude male paintings..come to think of it, i was there just to see the Monalisa. It's quite okay. Well, you heard so much about it and seen it on TV and I think it's worth it.

We also went to Disneyland...well the weather was REALLY COLD! I suggest if you want a comfortable visit to Paris DO IT IN SUMMER! At least it's hot and not FREEZING COLD!...But Disneyland was fun...I get to see all the Disney characters that most kids my age back in the late 80's and early 90's are familiar with.

Also we went to go and see Arc De Triomphe. HUGE ARCH!! That's all I can say ehhehe

And the pinnacle of my trip to Paris was climbing the stairs of Eiffel Tower. But I seriously suggest if you wanna go up the Eiffel Tower in SUMMER to just take the lift. YOU DONT WANT TO BE SWEATING A LIKE pig. If you wanna take the stairs then do it in Easter...cos i think the weather is cold enough so that you won't be perspiring so much.

there's my bed!!! eheheh it's so huge and ultra comfortable! I think you can't really tell the size of that bed but believe me it's huge! and one other thing. I took it with self timer ahahha

The room...ahhh I miss it! ahahah

The bathroom! Exquisite...ahaha

I think you can read that sign...:D It'll be redundant if typed it. ;)

Inside the Louvre..

Inside the Louvre

Disneyland...

Well that's it...I am not sleepy yet...but i think that's enough blogging for me today. And for you...well thanks for reading it :D

I...

I don't want to pretend to know everything in this world.
That's why in life, I choose to live and learn.

I don't want to pretend to know all the ups and downs in this world.
That's why I have to live and learn through all the ups and downs there are in this world.

I don't want to pretend to be what I don't want to be in this world.
That's why I have to live as what I wanna be in this world and learn the ups and downs of what i wanna be in this world.

I don't want to pretend that I'm wise.
That's why I try to live my age and learn from mistakes and from those who are much wiser from me.

I don't want to pretend I have seen everything and experience most things.
That's why I chose to live a life full of curiosity and experimentation and learn to differentiate which is which. Good or bad. Or decide that it's just part of life that you have to accept.

I don't want to pretend.
That's why

Take me away.

Take me away
by
Lifehouse

(acoustic version)

lyrics
this time all I want is you
there is no one else
who can take your place
this time you burned me with your eyes
you see past all the lies
you take it all away
I've seen it all and it's never enough
it keeps leaving me needing you
take me away
take me away
I've got nothing left to say
just take me away
I try to make my way to you
but still I feel so lost
I don't know what else I can do
I've seen it all and it's never enough
it keeps leaving me needing you
take me away
take me away
I've got nothing left to say
just take me away
don't give up on me yet
don't forget who I am
I know I'm not there yet
but don't let me stay here alone
this time all I want is you
there is no one else
who can take your place
I've seen it all and it's never enough
it keeps leaving me needing you
take me away
take me away
I've got nothing left to say
just take me away
take me away
take me away
I've got nothing left to say
just take me away

Just...

a hello from me to everyone :D

hahahaha

yesterday i got my exam results and i PASSED everything...It was a relief...A huge relief!

Apart from that easter holidays start tomorrow! yeay!! ahahha

apologies for the non-active blogging so far.

and sorry for the fragmented sentences

hahha

Lately i haven't the mood to write and blog about just anything!

Let me at least recap my days so far..

Last week i went to London. Apart from visiting my best friend there, I also went to Imperial College to attend the Brunei Student's Society Brunei Night 2008. It was good! I had fun though I had to help out here and there..and i didn't win any lucky draw this year. Oh well! ahhaha

and the next day i was supposed to go back to Sheffield (this was last sunday) but then i changed my mind BECAUSE ehehe i got tempted to go to another cultural kind of show at Imperial College, this time it's the Singapore Student Society - Singapore Night. It was a good show! all in all my weekend last week was a mixture of fun and me being tired...but it was good kind of tired! ahaha. It helps me to unwind and just have fun!

:D

i think that's it for this post. I gotta go and have fun some more.!!

Salvaged photos

A few days ago, I was checking out my facebook and then biasalah, I just went through with all the requests as well as invitation (which I ignore all! eheh) and checking out who's been busy facebook-ing. Some photos caught my eyes - pictures from my trip to Prague back in December 2006. I thought all those pictures were lost because due to unforeseen well ehhe accident the hard drive that contained all those pictures fell and kinda broke down. And sadly we 'thought' those pictures were gone forever.

However, Vi posted those pictures (and I think she and Mirul managed to fix and repair the hard drive)...

as for what I'm doing at the moment?
well i'm just lazying around the house, I wanted to go to the Information Commons to do a bit of studying and research but I think I'll just do those at home...and tomorrow I might go to the Information Commons. (at least i've done a bit on my next Auditing tutorial...ehhe)

The guys are out to their class and probably hang out somewhere and INDA BAWA AKU! (probably they know I'm gonna say no) hehehhe seriously at this point I don't mind not being invited ahahha But it does feel good to be 'in-vi-ted' right? :D

The girls are out too, but they were out since yesterday - they had their sorta ritual/weekly sleep overs at Rush's place. They'll be back later...

So I am home, ALONE! ehehhe and watching Spongebob on TV and probably do a lil bit of reading later. Oh...and I can't wait to go to London again - I think I'm going there alone, since no one from Sheffield that I know of is (are??) going albeit my invitations and information, OH well at least I gave the info and invited everyone ahhaha :D

wah! i think i've been rambling. So I think that's enuff for the time being.

take care and see ya around

Earthquake in England

"The biggest earthquake for nearly 20 years has been felt across large parts of England."
-quoted from BBC,
Last Updated: Wednesday, 27 February 2008, 02:34 GMT
read more here

I felt the tremor, but apparently it was an earthquake! I didn't quite notice it at first because I was deep in slumber. (I had an early day! - had class from 9 am - 10am and from 1pm - 4pm). By the time I got home was hungry and TIRED..ahhah so straight away after cooking dinner (without eating ehhehe) I crawl into my bed to rest and sleep..Zzzz

but around 1am ( approximately 1 hour and 45minutes ago), I was woken up by this real-life-like feeling of tremor and I thought it was just a dream and also I thought it was just a strong gale of winds. But apparently I am not the only one who felt it...all of my housemates felt it too. After that we just sort of sleep it off (well my housemates are sleeping now) and I am apparently wide awake. I slept from 7 till 1 so i guess I'm well rested (I was super tired ahahah).

After that mini-event (not so mini), I brushed my teeth and couldn't go back to sleep (and I'm not particularly sleepy). After that I went online and check my emails and read Bleach manga. About 2.30am, my phone vibrated - checked the number but it was withheld - so I just picked it and heard my mum's voice on the other side. Well it's nice to hear her voice and she sounded frantic! She said there was an earthquake in England...and she's in BRUNEI. I mean WOW - news do travel fast - super fast indeed..

After hearing that I am fine, she somehow calmed down a bit. And 15 minutes after that I had a video call from my grandparents - my grandma was crying! (so sweet!) she told me my mum called them and told what happened. I got to see my grandma and grandpa and my youngest aunty and her husband and my lil' cousin Zuka..I talked to them for a few minutes and both my mum and grandparents advised to sembahyang hajat and pray - and hope everything will be alright. I love my family! and miss them so much...I miss having people who cares so much about me around me (in other words who spoiled me - heheh just kidding).

(it got me thinking tho, I'm feeling calm here as if nothing happened - maybe it was the lull after the tiredness-slumber, people across the globe are worried, then I should be worried to, at least be prepared to what's gonna happen next...so since I just had a nice rest and peaceful sleep, i think I'm not gonna go back to sleep and keep being awake for a few hours or so)

Camel???

Hahahha...I had an interesting day or somewhat an unexpected 'short conversation' with an elderly man at the mosque today...

wait! what was I doing in the mosque/masjid?...It's Friday, so everyday Friday I go to the mosque to congregate with other fellow muslim brothers to perform the obligatory Friday prayer.

and camel??

I had this interesting 'short conversation' with an elderly man there...

Me (sitting down Indian style): Assalamualaikum
Man: Assalamualaikum, you're early...something something camel
(i couldn't hear what he was saying hence the something something)
Me: Oh, I had class this morning, so I come here straight away...
Man: No..no...you're the first to come and quite early, so your reward is camel...
Me: ooh (smiles...)

Interesting right??

hahaha that caught me off guard and got me thinking...actually i like to go to the mosque EARLY every Friday...it's just that i think it's just good to be early and i am not a tardy sort of guy (despite this i'm quite unlucky with travelling by trains or buses...this will be another story).

I never actually think about the 'reward when I go early to the mosque (when i talk about reward it's the reward from God). When I go to the mosque early it's partly because back in Brunei, my dad insists on going early to the mosque which is 5 minute drive from my house (Yeah, it's very close). But now, the mosque (in Sheffield)...it's 30-40minute walk from my house.

and also, it's habit plus I don't like being late...if you're I can't find a good and comfortable spot to pray (so i can be khusyuk when praying).

and the khutbah (friday sermon) today was also interesting...I'd like to mention something about it but i'm not quite sure how to put in words...basically if you're a muslim you should at least PRAY 5 times a day and seriously guys/girls this only take at most 30-40minutes (or 1 hour) to do everyday - approximately 6-8 minutes per prayer. COMPARED to 24hours that you're given by GOD...i think you can easily spare this amount of time right?. Furthermore, one of the pillars of ISLAM is 'the obligatory prayers'....you can't be called a Muslim (even if you're born one) if you don't do the obligatory prayers..

hmmm ahhaha okay i've said enuff...and certainly i don't wanna preach here. i just wanna share what i thought. So again...i'm not trying to preach here and it's basically for me too...so if you guys out there happen to read this, you can take it or leave it, right? it's your choice...ahaha

ciao..

take care
