You see, my department organised Tahlil ceremony in the morning. It was pot luck. Everyone brought their own food. Plus a catering of nasi lemak with rendangs and all. All in all, LOADS of FOOD were served. None goes to waste though. Cos right after, in the afternoon, during cleaning up. All the extra food are 'tapau'ed eheheh

Me yapping about stuff

I haven’t been able to post anything solid for the past few weeks or months. I don’t know. I lost track of blogging time. I’m adjusted to work life now. The only thing I don’t like doing is ironing my work clothes. As well as washing them. But I HAVE to do it. *sigh* I don’t mind waking up early in the morning. It depends on how late I slept the previous night. The only reason why I like to wake up early for work every morning is because I hate the sense of rushing + I hate being caught in traffic, trapped with other people who are in a rush as well as rude drivers…bla bla bla… :D

Work things? Don’t ask. It will never finish. It does get a bit monotonous for a while. But I suppose it’s okay. As long as I do my tasks…complete whatever I can..and I’m good to go.

Oh yea, the festive season is just around the corner. By festive, I mean the Puasa Month will either be this Friday or Saturday. Excited, the first time I’ll be fasting during working. Ehhehe and already the raya cakes lists are being distributed. I’ve got just under 10 lists…the question is which one is nice. Everyone claims they’re nice. Buy them all then?? HAHA crazy! Abis duit krg!!

...Life? It’s good. I’m coping. I’m single – no intention yet to change this. I’m not in a hurry. But I do sense pressure from family members asking me when and when and when. Sabar. I’ve got my own time line. Furthermore, guys don’t really expire that soon (sorry ladies) ehehhe. The thing is I don’t wanna be tied down, I just finished school. I just started work. I need to enjoy for a bit. Let’s say 3-5 years of single hood, that should give people an indication as to when I’m gonna settle down. :D no hurry. If I’m meant to settle down sooner, then I will. For the time being, Im gonna concentrate on what’s in front of me. WORK. ACHIEVE MORE. Make parents happy. Hmmm I think that’s all.

What else I’m gonna say. I think that’s it for now :D

Massage..

I love massages.

it relaxes me.

Last night, i gave Zen Spa a go.

It was good. Massage was okey..But i gotta recommend it for those who're looking for a relaxation retreat. Pamper yourself. I chose the aromatherapy massage...worth it. next time i go there, im gonna try the Spa Package...what have i gotta lose :D

Furthermore, im not hard to please...so i totally got super relaxed until now. My stress for the whole month and previous months gone. Not totally gone. but it relieves me of the built up tension....:D

Breeming with ideas

I don't know, for some reason my head is full of ideas, breeming with it. Breeming with ideas to blog about almost anything. ahhaha

I think for now I am going to write about driving. Well, driving is an essential ability and skill for all Bruneians, regardless of what gender you are. Because here, public transport is either not so fashionable (hahaha..), not EASILY available, Taxi is toooooooo expensive..and buses aren't that popular with the locals.

So having your own car here, is the best way to get from one point to another point. From one shop to another...one house to another, from one district to another..and so on..and i can go on..
I keep imagining one day, Brunei will have trams, trains, LRTs...it'll be fun... :D

Another day...

Another day has come. ehhe tacky! erghgh

no really, another day, another round of 7.5 hours or more of working. Do i like it? Of course. After a bit of tasting the bitterness of unemployment. I sure am grateful to God, that I am working. :D Alhamdulillah.

Anyways. another day, lots of decision to make. Of course! In life (at least this is wat i think) we cannot escape with making decision, either small ones or the big huge ginornous life changing decisions. Anyways im off to do work soon, but before that i wanna write a bit...*wink*. :D (im taking a bit of time to write here... :D)

oh yea, last night i was hunting for work shirt...i got one. I brought my lil bro with me, anyways, I always bring him with me whenever I go out. ahahah Went to eat McFlurry's at McD. just to satisfy my sweet tooth..ahaha

and here comes my commentary and criticisms of the local radio. ahah it was around 9ish, and the English news was on. well i cant change the networks cos every network (almost all network) were tuned to this English news. I like listening to the news. It gives me invaluable knowledge, informs me to whatever is happening locally and internationally. HOWEVER, i DO NOT LIKE the newsreader last night (sorry..ahha). He talks WAY too fast. with an accent (trying hard to talk in an accent)...and i feel a bit of RUSHING, like he was being chased or sumthing. and it went on until he read the last lines of the news. I know I am not a newsreader, and I might not know the pressure involved in delivering the news. BUT try not to be concerned with the accent so much, but try to deliver the news with proper pronunciation...and RELAX...you're on the radio. NO ONE knows how you look like.

Indulging myself.

No. I dont mean by buying stuff, splurging $$$ or anything related with $$$...neither do i mean by eating chocs nor do i mean watching movies.

so what do i mean by indulging myself.

eheh Going to the gym to lessen my body fats! ahahah and probably (hopefully) add a bit of muscle. and after that INDULGE myself in the sauna and steam bath! ahahah

i did some googling...and these are the benefits...

1. Improved blood circulation:

The sauna increases and improves the rate of blood circulation and breathing.

Daily Updates??

Im contemplating to update my blog everyday. Get back to the roots of why I opened up this blog - to record and write stuff about what i do everyday. But then that would be very boring. I mean, it might bore you..ahha

So..i might update my blog everyday. but then i might not. HAhaha. I'll let time and consequence (and by that I mean MY MOOD) decide on this. :D

By the way..I woke up super early today. Reason? hahaha ada tah tu. pasal bangun awal la :D :D

I reached the office around 7.09am. and then signed the attendance sheet. then do a bit of housekeeping. setting up my desk. thinking of what to do for the first half of the day. switched on the laptop. Checked emails on both hotmail and windows outlook account. and then check Simpur website (i like this site, it's got almost all the nice and uber cool happenings in brunei...moreover, i like the free giveaway competition! mudahan ku manang banyak! :D) and of course I prefer listening to Kristal FM than to other radio stations, I like all the DJs, except one. I think its because the DJ pronounced the the word 'tu'--> 'toh.. i mean....erghghghhg. the first time i listened to the DJ made me...erghghhg I got offended..I mean COME ON. It doesnt sound nice.

enough about me rambling about my 'PERSONAL' preferences. Remember that. IT's MY PERSONAL preferences only.

I came across this latin word whilst I was reading the income tax act. Definitely, it was something new to me, and i've never heard of it before. And i thought, why not google the meaning. HAHAHHA the ease of having technology, GOOGLe, and more importantly a laptop and wireless connection at work. AHhaha

so i google it. saw the gazillions websites offered. Chose the first link. which led me to this:

I had a light lunch well if you can call it light. Ahhaha I had Seafood Fried Mee at the Stadium Restaurant. And some Dim Sum dish, just a bit. I had lunch with Vi and Mirul. Now I feel sleepy. It almost 4.30pm, and its almost time to GO HOME. HEheh I’ll be going home soon!! But after that I think I wanna go hit the gym and burn some fats! Seriously! I need to get in shape. I think I seriously gain a lot. It might not be good for my health BUT it definitely is not GOOD for my body shape. I don’t wanna have a tummy! Yawnnzzzz…

I guess I have to continue work! Hehehe

LOoooonnnng weeeekeend!.

Its been a while since i have time to log on to my blog and just blog. I have been wanting to update my blog since forever. But now I think i have the time to do so.

It has been a long week. a couple of long weeks. My work/job is good. Good environment. But it's all about numbers. It's good tho. :D

Oh yeah! I turned 25. I have a mini celebration with my best friends/and friends. IT was good. eheh

sorry for not being able to update for a long. :D

I just dont have the idea what to blog. and time isn't on my side. Heheh..

Let's get to it. I have been working in the govt. sector for a week now. Alhamdulillah. Not necessarily what I want. But it's a job that would probably secure my future. The pay is good too. Alhamdulillah. :D just hope my opportunities wont stop here. And about my previous post 'Choices', this is the choice that I made. I was offered 2 posts. One in a private sector and one the govt. job. And the obvious choice that I made is that I took the government post. :D.

That's the biggest and hardest choice that i had to make. It 'is' for the sake of my future. I gotta be firm and stick with my choice :D. But if opportunities come along the way, who knows what i would do...only God knows :D

Enough about the job thingy. It was stressing me for a month. AHahha but now im more relaxed and gotta start working as hard as I could. :D Asalkan ikhlas, rajin and dapat rezeki halal and berkat. Not just halal rezeki yea, it must be berkat too. :D

Moving on, I've been to the movies and I've seen the Unborn, Wolverine and Star Trek. The first two movies were good. BUT for me STAR TREK just spaced me out. IT's excellent for me :D eheheh

Cant wait for newer and cooler movies to come out :D eheh anyways. that's it for now people. just keep cool...

eat sushi!!

Hang Out Places

I wanna do a post on my hang out places.

Not really hang out places, more like places where I like to eat. There are lots of restaurants here. I mean, NOT as much as other countries but quite enough to go to in a month. :D

First, Excapade sushi. The most popular sushi restaurant in Brunei. That's it. The most popular. Offering many kinds of sushi. The quality of service? I give em 60-70%. Well I usually go there when there are lots of people, lots of customers and Vi pointed out that if there are lots of people there, the waiters and waitresses tend to be a bit 'non-smiley' that's the most polite I can put it. But when the place is less crowded...it tends to go up much better. EHhehe

The next destination is MAMIH. They dubbed themselves the most popular hang out place in Brunei. But that's their slogan. And that's good. I've been going to Mamih since it's early days (when it wasn't so popular). ehhehe It's a good place to hang out with friends. As for the menu? hmmm just go there. I like to eat their ayam salai and satays. ehhehe

There are lots of places to eat ehhe...like Fratini's, if you want to eat ice cream you can go to any of the Dairy Queen's outlets. A 99% fat free dessert, you can go to SnowHouse (Yummmy!!). You can go to C.A Mohammed, if you have the craving for Martabaks, roti kosong, roti telurs etc. Or you can go to Pasar Malam, lots of delicacies there...

but for me going to restaurants, i prefer a smiling waiter/waitress. Because that definitely will boost up my rating for that restaurant for that particular visit. Furthermore, it can enhance my mood. IF the waiter/waitress turns out to be non-smiley or rude or not as friendly, that will greatly reduce my mood!

But then i guess its useless. when saying it, wont make people listen. But i gotta make it through, so that its understandable. BUT would it make people listen. I don't know. Then, should i say it? or should just not say it.

Sumtimes I wanna scream

Okey. Work has been climbing up my stress ladder. This week has been a real challenge for me. I haven't experienced any migraine attacks lately. BUT..i kinda got a migraine attack last wednesday or was it last wednesday. I kinda feel disappointed. But im happy. I thought my workload will lessen this week. but it kept piling up. I mean, at least, understand la my situation. I know you guys can squeeze whatever you can out of from me, it's my responsibility to work. BUT you have to understand jua kan. THINK! but hey...im not really venting out. but im just kinda disappointed.

Nevertheless, next week hopefully will be a better week for me. That my dear readers will be another post. :D

Opinions

People are allowed to have their own opinion. But it doesnt mean we have to voice it out loud right? OR we have the right to voice it out loud. For example, nowadays some people (or most) would voice it out through their own blogs. But does it mean, we have the right to lash out without even thinking about it first. Don't you think so? I sometime lash out for no reason. But does it give us or me the right to hurt other people with our writings. or even our words. IT doesn't. The social protocol requires us to be polite. But only to those who are equally polite to you. IS IT?. Do we have to be polite to those rude ones? For example. I'm not a stingy person with my smile. I smile all the time. IF you see me not smiling that means i'm really really sad. and sumthing serious is occupying my mind. HAha Alright i think this rambling has to stop. COS..im outta words. but it doesn't mean what i've written is totally crap. Ponder about it guys.

Opinions, some are best kept to ourselves. Opinions, some are best voiced out. Opinions, some are best to be discussed first. We're given brains, so don't always let our hearts conquer us. But we're also given hearts, so that when the time comes it's best to listen to our hearts.

Work.

I'd be lying if I say I'm not tired from working. It's been only 4 days. Hey!! For the past 6 months I've been constantly waking up at least 3-4 hours later (around 10-11am) than now and sleep, well my sleeping pattern hasn't changed. I sleep around 1am - 3am. ahahha. well it's been fun. But i think i need to change that sleeping habit so that i can be more refreshed while working. and less tired at the end of the day. my working/office hours is 8.30am - 5.30pm. So i need sufficient time to recover ahahah.

So far. i'm loving the job. hehehe.

February

January 2009 passed just like that. with a couple of interviews. And now, it turns out February is my month. I am official un-unemployed...or im now employed. AHhah I have a job. Not a government one. But one of auditing firms in Brunei. :D I took auditing in Uni, so i kinda have a lil bit of 'theoretical background' of auditing. But practical wise? I still need to be exposed to that.

Well IT's GOOD TO BE EMPLOYED!...:D

Sunday in Sunday Out

Usually on Sundays I'll just hang out at home. Do Nothing and just hang out. Watch whatever shows playing on Tv. And that's basically what I'm doing right now. Let me paint a picture. Or describe it.

Im sitting down, in the living room. Laptop on my lap. Typing. The TV is on. A movie is playing -'The Dark Is Rising'- and my lil bro and dad watching it.

ahhaha that's it. I'm browsing through the net, reading manga. I read manga (japanese comic) and my favourites are Bleach and Naruto. Other than that I also read Fairy Tail, Claymore, and currently I just found another great (well for it is great) manga - Soul Eater, quite funny! ahahah

The Audacity of Some People

It sounded good. The word 'Audacity', it kinda has a nice ring to it. Probably I'll write sumthing about the audacity of some people. But not now. Too Lazy To Write anyways.

Yesterday. I had fun. Why? Had a lil family gathering in Mata-Mata arah nini's house. My lil cuz punya bday. Lil JJ. It was a great little gathering. Everyone was there. Not all. But most of us were there. The food was great (Maybe that's why I keep hearing that I'm a bit bigger than I used to be..ahha). There was self service soto. NYAMAN! Nasi Goreng. Kuih..bla bla bla...I didn't take photos tho. Maybe I shud. Maybe I shud post my food conquest! ahahah


Now im just sitting. pondering when am i gonna receive calls. Everyday since i applied for any job vacancies. I have been waiting for 'any' calls and everytime the phone rings I hope to hear 'You got the JOB'..but balum tah ada-ada nya! But i keep praying I'll get it. Amin!

Delayed post.

(By the time the clock strikes 12midnight on New Year’s Eve, IT’S GONNA BE NEW YEAR~ 2009)<-- these words would have meant sumthing IF i posted this one on 31st December last year..BUT HEY HAPPY NEW YEAR!!

I never actually celebrated new years. But I do look forward to it. I mean, it means a new beginning for most of us. It means we can try to look and reflect back on what we have achieved and continue striving towards our goals. As for resolutions, I tried having them. But it never worked on me. I think it’s partly because I don’t want it to dictate my life. However, I don’t frown on those who have resolutions. I just don’t think resolutions suit me.

Looking back, there are more fond memories for me rather than bleak ones. Alhamdulillah, it was a blessing for me to have gone through a beautiful year. The minor glitches I experienced during this year were probably a jolt for me, to keep me in check and to keep me humble and realise that everything happens for a reason.

Furthermore, 1st January 2009 will be this blog’s 2nd anniversary. Although I don’t update this blog as regularly as I would like, it doesn’t mean I don’t care about it anymore. I do care about this blog. I’ve written lots of stuff here and I just can’t let it go that easily. And also I love writing as much as I like reading.

It’s been a great year. It would’ve been greatER if I had a job already. But it’s okay. As I said, it takes time for these things and it happens for a reason. For the last few weeks I’ve been hanging out with my best friends. Not all of them as I would like it, but enough of them to have fun with. They’re my as I would call it –my escape, when I’m bored, when I’m happy, whenever actually. Hehhehe but our activity is always eating out and chill or movies…eheheh and go to MAMIH and have satay and chicken wings…NYAMAN! :D And I’m kinda hooked with a new dessert place called snowhouse, which serves flavoured shaved ice that just melts in your mouth. YOU should try IT. :D

I’m looking forward what’s gonna happen in 2009 and all the best for you all! :D
