"Love...a lost illusion"
all these while I've been busy searching for love...all these years I've been busy searching for the right one...
when i did find love...when i did find the right one...
i realised...
it's just an illusion...
No matter how hard I tried to make it otherwise, it comes back to me in shattered pieces...
No matter how hard I tried to hold on to you, I ended up losing you...
No matter how hard I tried to be strong, I ended up losing the strength to carry on...
Indeed...Love...a lost illusion...
that i could never make into a reality...

Hi...i was just browsing my old friendster blog...and i thought i would like to share this. A previous creation of my mind. I would be a fool to admit it's got nothing to do with me..but hey...it's my past that shaped who i am now. Now I'm shaping myself for the future..eheheh here ya go (it's a bit mushy-mushy...heheh):

Another Rambling...
Please la...don't be a hypocrite! why? 'Cause I hate it...hate might be a strong word, but i really really don't like it. Anger? Yea, I am angered. Why? Because I am an observer and I know what ticked me off and not. What tick me off are not impulsive, it's been brewed over time to give you a good taste, but in my case - anger. That's how I manage my anger. Brew it. Then someone just might be lucky enough to shake it. Hopefully I won't explode. That brings me to another thing, I rarely explode, on occasion I only exploded a few times in my life (as far as I can remember). I only implode or vent it off by giving myself some 'me' time doing stuff that I know will make me very calm. The bad thing about imploding is that the remnants of the implosion still linger. Like a splinter of wood in your finger. You need to get it out. But the thing is, I rather implode than cause the unnecessary awkwardness. People can see my facial expression quite clearly, they can read me like a book, which I can say for sure is true most of the time. I'm never good at keeping it not opaque, no matter how I tried to fool myself and the rest, my facial expression will somehow betray me...
why bother!
why bother!

Now people live longer than they used to be
I guess so.
I wrote this down while listening to my lecturer. He was talking about pension funds (financial management stuff). He was explaining that companies nowadays are not really keen on having pension funds as part of their portfolio - since people live longer than they used to be (meaning that companies will have to pay more for people who used to work with them much longer than they expect to). Somewhere along this line...I wasn't really paying attention today, because
Reason #1 : The lecture started with guest speakers all from the same company (Company XYZ - I don't want to specifically mention the name of the company). The first speaker a youngish one 30-45ish, started off introducing his colleagues...basically that was what he did - But I couldn't really get what he said, because only (and I am assuming) the front row students and himself could listen and hear what he's got to say. Then his colleague, continued. Even worst! I can't even hear him, and what he said bounced off from my head or like water passing through a sieve, and again, only him and the front row students could hear what he's got to say. Mind you, my friends and I were sitting around 4 rows behind the first row...I only can imagine what the back row students were hearing...
Reason #2 : I was bored! Slept the first few minutes of the second half of the 'real' lecture.
ehhehe that was it.
Now people live longer than they used to be, and I think this is particularly true. People do live longer now. Reasons? People are living a healthy lifestyle. Less war (except those who are unfortunate enough, I don't want to get political here, so you guys may search the net and find out about war-mongering countries).
I will follow up on this post. But I am not sure when. I think it is an interesting topic (in my opinion). So stay tuned.
Currently I'm addicted to AF5 (akademi fantasia). I was never a big fan of it back home, but now I seem to follow its development. ahahha Alright dudes and dudettes...I gotta go do my work.
oh oh...I'm playing Final Fantasy 12! love the game!

The tale of Friday the 13th
HAhahhahahahahha

because of this

and because it happened today...I kinda slept on it! hehe I was taking a nap...and unfortunately i didn't realise it until it was TOOOOOOOO LATE!! ARGHHH what bad luck...and this is not the first time I broke it. It happened also when I first bought it, barely a week I have it, I freaking STEPPED ON IT!! that was foolish...

Paraskavedekatriaphobia!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Fear of Friday the 13th is called paraskavedekatriaphobia
Friday the 13th -
is a Friday which falls on the 13th of any months (i.e January, February, March, April, May, June, July, August, September, October, November and December), therefore any Friday that falls on the 13th of any month is called Friday the 13th (seriously!! it's called that!! DOH!!), and also if the circumstances are correct, the chances of it falling on any given month is 1/30 or 1/31...and in a year 12/365 eheheheh but this is just a wise guess...in fact i might be wrong!
Lufias265: Why are people hyped up about this day?
Wikipedia: A Friday occurring on the 13th day of any month is considered to be a day of bad luck in English, German, Polish and Portuguese-speaking cultures around the globe!
Lufias265: Why are some Asians hyped up about this day when in fact they're not from the above mentioned cultures?
Lufidia265 (ehhehe): I dunno! Cos of westernization? Anyways, Asian-cultures have lots of scary things compared to the above mentioned cultures..so why bother to be hyped about it..In my opinion it's just westernization or a severe case of wannabes ehehhe
For more information go to Wikipedia.

Sad!!
Not actually sad, but close to being sad...because all my bids on e-bay were outbid by some other people. First to be outbid was 1GB Memory Card for my phone. Then, CK Euphoria...then, i think that's all..but i really really want these two! not so much the memory card but the CK Euphoria perfume! ahahah Yeah I collect perfume. Currently I have five bottles of perfume...Not all are my favorites. But I'm a collector and I like perfumes :P
Anyways...I did win a bid on a polo shirt - Ralph Lauren with a big pony on one side of the chest and a number 3 on one of the arms..there ya go! at least I'm a bit happy...

It's April and It's Easter
So...it's April and it's Easter and Easter break is just about to end. Nothing has been done in the study corner...but I am sure I will start soon (though it kinda felt like 'later') hehe
I'm hooked to yogurt. It's a breakfast essential for me (if you call eating it around 11a.m a breakfast ;P)
I had an interesting week and weekend. Not really! But I felt like telling you guys that it has been an interesting lazy week for me! haha
Let me recap what I did with my house-mates over the holidays...We termed the thing that we did 'mem-buruk-ing'. Details? Hmmm I guess I'll tell you guys personally if any one of you guys cared to ask. hehe
Okay, this month as planned, we bought our plane ticket to Brunei for the summer holidays..hehehe and we can't wait to go back home...Let me tell you how much our tickets cost us. First, we went to the travel agent at our Student Union, around 9ish-10ish in the morning, only to find out that the price shot up to 698.30 pounds!!! It's way way way way more expensive than we expected. Well we got a discount for it...but only about 8 pounds less. So we told the guy at the counter we'd think about it. Then we went shopping at Meadowhall Shopping Mall or watchamacallit! hehhe and spend a few hours there. Me, Azmi, Mizah and Kaka Aznah (Mizah's elder sister) first went to Tie Rack..bought a few scarves for mom and then me and azmi went off to buy Lei's birthday present. Lei and Fish went somewhere else in that humongous place to buy Azmi's birthday present (you see, the house-mates planned a double celebration for these two)...ehehhe that was it we did on 2nd April. And we managed to buy a plane ticket which was considered to be the best option for us which cost us 40pounds cheaper (do the math yourself, heheh)...everything settled and we continued to do our 'mem-buruk-ing' as professional as we could...
eheh...i think last saturday night (the day was friday) we went to Odeon, because we decided to watch 300 (a good movie! ehhehe though I am not a fan of hacking, beheadings and swords protruding all over the parts of the human anatomy)...It was a good movie! but it could be better if the aroma a.k.a smell in the cinema didn't resemble a feet, a very smelly stinky feet...me and mizah had to change seats because we suspected the guy next to us is the cause of the evil aroma. Even after changing our seats we were still attacked by the smell and our nostrils were vehemently victimized by the offending smell! hahaha In the end...MOVIE WAS GOOD, but it left a lingering smell in our nostrils!
On our way home (around 9-10pm-ish) some stupid losers in a blue car asked directions from us...and we being good Asians and good Bruneians simply pointed it to them. And we heard a crack! The losers in the car were throwing eggs at us..but i guess either they are very bad in throwing or we are super lucky...cause all 5 of us didn't get hit! I guess we're lucky and they sucked in throwing, but i gotta give them credit for being a*sh*les! ahahha The sad thing about that incident was, it dampen our spirits that night...mizah was fuming and i think azmi was too, and the rest was shaken. And me? Of course i was the HERO! NOT!! ehhe i was shaken too and I wished I had a gun! so i can shoot them...no lah..i won't get violent! but it's over and we will take note not to go out at night unless we really really need to go out. It's definitely a racist thing to do...but then I guess we all need to be patient about it..hehehe
Okay enough about that tragedy!...
I can't wait to go back Brunei!
hmm i guess i end it here for today's post.
ciao
