Just...

a hello from me to everyone :D

hahahaha

yesterday i got my exam results and i PASSED everything...It was a relief...A huge relief!

Apart from that easter holidays start tomorrow! yeay!! ahahha

apologies for the non-active blogging so far.

and sorry for the fragmented sentences

hahha

Lately i haven't the mood to write and blog about just anything!

Let me at least recap my days so far..

Last week i went to London. Apart from visiting my best friend there, I also went to Imperial College to attend the Brunei Student's Society Brunei Night 2008. It was good! I had fun though I had to help out here and there..and i didn't win any lucky draw this year. Oh well! ahhaha

and the next day i was supposed to go back to Sheffield (this was last sunday) but then i changed my mind BECAUSE ehehe i got tempted to go to another cultural kind of show at Imperial College, this time it's the Singapore Student Society - Singapore Night. It was a good show! all in all my weekend last week was a mixture of fun and me being tired...but it was good kind of tired! ahaha. It helps me to unwind and just have fun!

:D

i think that's it for this post. I gotta go and have fun some more.!!

Salvaged photos

A few days ago, I was checking out my facebook and then biasalah, I just went through with all the requests as well as invitation (which I ignore all! eheh) and checking out who's been busy facebook-ing. Some photos caught my eyes - pictures from my trip to Prague back in December 2006. I thought all those pictures were lost because due to unforeseen well ehhe accident the hard drive that contained all those pictures fell and kinda broke down. And sadly we 'thought' those pictures were gone forever.

However, Vi posted those pictures (and I think she and Mirul managed to fix and repair the hard drive)...

as for what I'm doing at the moment?
well i'm just lazying around the house, I wanted to go to the Information Commons to do a bit of studying and research but I think I'll just do those at home...and tomorrow I might go to the Information Commons. (at least i've done a bit on my next Auditing tutorial...ehhe)

The guys are out to their class and probably hang out somewhere and INDA BAWA AKU! (probably they know I'm gonna say no) hehehhe seriously at this point I don't mind not being invited ahahha But it does feel good to be 'in-vi-ted' right? :D

The girls are out too, but they were out since yesterday - they had their sorta ritual/weekly sleep overs at Rush's place. They'll be back later...

So I am home, ALONE! ehehhe and watching Spongebob on TV and probably do a lil bit of reading later. Oh...and I can't wait to go to London again - I think I'm going there alone, since no one from Sheffield that I know of is (are??) going albeit my invitations and information, OH well at least I gave the info and invited everyone ahhaha :D

wah! i think i've been rambling. So I think that's enuff for the time being.

take care and see ya around

Earthquake in England

"The biggest earthquake for nearly 20 years has been felt across large parts of England."

read more here

I felt the tremor, but apparently it was an earthquake! I didn't quite notice it at first because I was deep in slumber. (I had an early day! - had class from 9 am - 10am and from 1pm - 4pm). By the time I got home was hungry and TIRED..ahhah so straight away after cooking dinner (without eating ehhehe) I crawl into my bed to rest and sleep..Zzzz

but around 1am ( approximately 1 hour and 45minutes ago), I was woken up by this real-life-like feeling of tremor and I thought it was just a dream and also I thought it was just a strong gale of winds. But apparently I am not the only one who felt it...all of my housemates felt it too. After that we just sort of sleep it off (well my housemates are sleeping now) and I am apparently wide awake. I slept from 7 till 1 so i guess I'm well rested (I was super tired ahahah).

After that mini-event (not so mini), I brushed my teeth and couldn't go back to sleep (and I'm not particularly sleepy). After that I went online and check my emails and read Bleach manga. About 2.30am, my phone vibrated - checked the number but it was withheld - so I just picked it and heard my mum's voice on the other side. Well it's nice to hear her voice and she sounded frantic! She said there was an earthquake in England...and she's in BRUNEI. I mean WOW - news do travel fast - super fast indeed..

After hearing that I am fine, she somehow calmed down a bit. And 15 minutes after that I had a video call from my grandparents - my grandma was crying! (so sweet!) she told me my mum called them and told what happened. I got to see my grandma and grandpa and my youngest aunty and her husband and my lil' cousin Zuka..I talked to them for a few minutes and both my mum and grandparents advised to sembahyang hajat and pray - and hope everything will be alright. I love my family! and miss them so much...I miss having people who cares so much about me around me (in other words who spoiled me - heheh just kidding).

(it got me thinking tho, I'm feeling calm here as if nothing happened - maybe it was the lull after the tiredness-slumber, people across the globe are worried, then I should be worried to, at least be prepared to what's gonna happen next...so since I just had a nice rest and peaceful sleep, i think I'm not gonna go back to sleep and keep being awake for a few hours or so)

Camel???

Hahahha...I had an interesting day or somewhat an unexpected 'short conversation' with an elderly man at the mosque today...

wait! what was I doing in the mosque/masjid?...It's Friday, so everyday Friday I go to the mosque to congregate with other fellow muslim brothers to perform the obligatory Friday prayer.

and camel??

I had this interesting 'short conversation' with an elderly man there...

Me (sitting down Indian style): Assalamualaikum
Man: Assalamualaikum, you're early...something something camel
(i couldn't hear what he was saying hence the something something)
Me: Oh, I had class this morning, so I come here straight away...
Man: No..no...you're the first to come and quite early, so your reward is camel...
Me: ooh (smiles...)

Interesting right??

hahaha that caught me off guard and got me thinking...actually i like to go to the mosque EARLY every Friday...it's just that i think it's just good to be early and i am not a tardy sort of guy (despite this i'm quite unlucky with travelling by trains or buses...this will be another story).

I never actually think about the 'reward when I go early to the mosque (when i talk about reward it's the reward from God). When I go to the mosque early it's partly because back in Brunei, my dad insists on going early to the mosque which is 5 minute drive from my house (Yeah, it's very close). But now, the mosque (in Sheffield)...it's 30-40minute walk from my house.

and also, it's habit plus I don't like being late...if you're I can't find a good and comfortable spot to pray (so i can be khusyuk when praying).

and the khutbah (friday sermon) today was also interesting...I'd like to mention something about it but i'm not quite sure how to put in words...basically if you're a muslim you should at least PRAY 5 times a day and seriously guys/girls this only take at most 30-40minutes (or 1 hour) to do everyday - approximately 6-8 minutes per prayer. COMPARED to 24hours that you're given by GOD...i think you can easily spare this amount of time right?. Furthermore, one of the pillars of ISLAM is 'the obligatory prayers'....you can't be called a Muslim (even if you're born one) if you don't do the obligatory prayers..

hmmm ahhaha okay i've said enuff...and certainly i don't wanna preach here. i just wanna share what i thought. So again...i'm not trying to preach here and it's basically for me too...so if you guys out there happen to read this, you can take it or leave it, right? it's your choice...ahaha

ciao..

take care

There is nothing special about me
I am just a little star

My pet peeves

Nyap'nyap'nyap...nyap'nyap'nyap...nyapz!~

i absolutely abhor this sound (hence the not so attractive colour). i am not going to tell what the sound is (you can figure it out yourself or by just reading this post until the end) :D ehehe.

I remembered the first time i heard about this abhorrent sound was back in '98 or was it '99, i was a teenager back then (wah!!! i was so young!!) and one of my closest friends started mentioning about this 'sound' and from then on, I started realising this 'sound' and until now I am fairly annoyed (this 'fairly annoyed' might be an understatement) by this nyap nyap nyap sound.

Have you figured it out already? ahhaha

sorry, but it's one of my flaws - to be a little (again another understatement) bit judgmental (<---this is the correct spelling ehehhe). (and of course i try not to make this sound - by properly chewing my food ehhehe) oh well
see ya!
