(By the time the clock strikes 12midnight on New Year’s Eve, IT’S GONNA BE NEW YEAR~ 2009)<-- these words would have meant sumthing IF i posted this one on 31st December last year..BUT HEY HAPPY NEW YEAR!!
I never actually celebrated new years. But I do look forward to it. I mean, it means a new beginning for most of us. It means we can try to look and reflect back on what we have achieved and continue striving towards our goals. As for resolutions, I tried having them. But it never worked on me. I think it’s partly because I don’t want it to dictate my life. However, I don’t frown on those who have resolutions. I just don’t think resolutions suit me.
Looking back, there are more fond memories for me rather than bleak ones. Alhamdulillah, it was a blessing for me to have gone through a beautiful year. The minor glitches I experienced during this year were probably a jolt for me, to keep me in check and to keep me humble and realise that everything happens for a reason.
Furthermore, 1st January 2009 will be this blog’s 2nd anniversary. Although I don’t update this blog as regularly as I would like, it doesn’t mean I don’t care about it anymore. I do care about this blog. I’ve written lots of stuff here and I just can’t let it go that easily. And also I love writing as much as I like reading.
It’s been a great year. It would’ve been greatER if I had a job already. But it’s okay. As I said, it takes time for these things and it happens for a reason. For the last few weeks I’ve been hanging out with my best friends. Not all of them as I would like it, but enough of them to have fun with. They’re my as I would call it –my escape, when I’m bored, when I’m happy, whenever actually. Hehhehe but our activity is always eating out and chill or movies…eheheh and go to MAMIH and have satay and chicken wings…NYAMAN! :D And I’m kinda hooked with a new dessert place called snowhouse, which serves flavoured shaved ice that just melts in your mouth. YOU should try IT. :D
I’m looking forward what’s gonna happen in 2009 and all the best for you all! :D

guilty pleasures!
i havent had the pleasure to indulge myself fully...=) hahaha
I have to save up..after all being 'unemployed' does mean money is non-existent. Hehehe. And i dont really care n dont quite agree with those who said jobseekers now are choosy. I applied everywhere and 3 months i am still here 'seeking jobs'. Now who is choosy ones? And lets reduce the red tape! Hahaha enough about that.
Yesterday. I cut my hair short. After all its getting unmanageable. Then watched Madagascar2 with my lil bro n stephanie n ozy...the movie was hilarious! Hilarious-er than the last one (in my opinion) hehehe. And banyak movie (cartoons n sum actions ones) that i wont wana miss. ;)
The topic? About guilty pleasures? Yea movies are one of em..i luv watching movies. N if im stil in the UK id probably make watching 'plays' my other guilty pleasure..haha the last n only play i watched there was JUMP! The korean production it was amazingly gud tho i sat at the last row! Hahaha...
Indulging in choc cakes! Hmmm nyum nyum! N i miss reading bleach n naruto manga wait wait this is my one of my hobbies - reading mangas. Collecting books n reading them..i love books..i remember getting my first favourite set of books..it was a gift of 3 Harry Potter books back in 1999. That 3 books started my growing interest in the fictional n magical worlds, fantasy where evil beings are vanquished by the force of good..hmmm hehehe.
Perfumes! Hahaha i love collecting perfumes. Plus it makes you smell good! Hahaha...it all started in 1998...i really love the smell of Kenzo for men (the one in the dark blue bottle)..yeah i didnt have that perfume back then, bt i found it again when i was in Harrods during boxing day sale! Hahaha bt back then i collected a lot of CK perfumes..until now i still buy n use CK perfumes, frm CK One, Escape, Eternity, Crave, CKin2U, Euphoria.. Bt there are also other brands that i use...
Hmmm well? I love watching movies. Indulge myself in choc cakes. Immersed in watching anime especially bleach n naruto. Relax n read books. Make myself smell gud! Hehehe
Hmm i think thats it 4 nw hehe

Reminiscing
Sometimes it is hard to think about the future when everything seems so uncertain. That's why sometimes I take comfort in the past. I call it reminiscing.
Sometimes facing the mundane of the present can be overwhelming. That's why I usually look back 'hey! I've done that, ì've been there, i did this, i was there...i can do it all over again'.
Don't get me wrong, im not stressed or depressed. How can i be depressed when im home doing nuthing?! But yea, believe me after a while it aint so sweet anyMOHHH! ahahaha.!
I need a confidence boost. I need to get back in shape.
And will someone please, GIMME A JOB ALREADY! HEHEHEHE. (cos the photocopying company is getting richer with my photocopying customership) hehehe
Oh..dis is my first post i typed using my fon..hahaha
Ciao!

Long absences?
Hello dear readers! :D
It's been quite a long absent, isn't it?...My absence from blogging.
Fear not! I am still around, safe and sound in Brunei! ahaha..Yea! I'm back in Brunei and this time for quite some time. I completed my life's chapter as a student! YEAY!
And now I'm going through what I call an unemployment phase. You see unemployment is inevitable. Therefore, regardless of what economists might say about having the right condition to achieve zero unemployment rate, it is impossible! ahah
Yeap, I graduated with honours from University of Sheffield! It was the time of my life! The pinnacle of my 2 decades of studying! I was proud and still am of myself. And nothing made me happier on the day of graduation, when my parents and my lil bro attending it (though i would love my other two brothers to attend it too,but what to do!..hehe) I am proud to have made everyone around me proud. Especially to a great extent my whole family!, and my friends! Yeay BABY! I GOT A DEGREE!..(okay enough self-flattery! hehe :D)
Thank you for the support you all have given me!
Alright, that's the basic update so far!
Now it's been a month or so since I came back from UK. I did my fair share of job hunting. I sat for a test for a job screening/whatever...I am still unemployed..but insyaAllah, with all your prayers I hope soon in the near future (next week?? ehehe) I will get a job! AMIN!!! But for now, I love the resting period of having no responsibility, no homework, no tutorial, no lectures...just pure oafish/lazyish stuff! ahaha
Also, it's the month of Ramadhan! The first day of fasting for all Bruneians in Brunei. So I would love to convey and wish you all HAPPY FASTING and semoga amal ibadat that we have done and will do will be accepted by Allah S.W.T. AMIN!
So guys and gals
I gotta take off! Ciao
Love,
Lufias! :D

Plans
Plans. Plans. Plans.
Ultimately I hope and InsyaAllah, everything will fall according to my plans.
I just need to tie a few loose ends.
What AM I TALKING about?.
Plans. Plans. Plans.
Alright, I'm talking about my whole July plan. I like to plan things in advance so that I can enjoy spontaneous things in between. You get what I mean?
I might like stuff to be spontaneous. But I also like to plan things ahead. Since the landlord "planned" to give us a last minute notice, all my original plans had to be aborted. (I am holding grudges over that old man's selfish action!). By the way 'aborted' sounded so official, like military official type thing. I guess the right word would be I had to re-organized my plans that I had in mind for June.
Since, I had everything kinda figured out, I already have quite a solid plans packed with stuff I think I might enjoy. Hmmmm I wanna rephrase that last sentence, 'I already have solid plans packed with stuff I will enjoy.' hehehe life mesti enjoy kan?. ehehhe not really!..but the point is..just enjoy life with whatever God gives us. Then we'll surely be quite happy. :D
For the remainder of this month, I will finish packing my stuff that I am going to ship. The shipping company will collect my personal effects this coming 27th. After that, the burden of packing will lessen a bit. But we still need to pack house stuff. I don't really need the kitchen wares or whatever is in the kitchen. Except for the green mug/tumbler - my sorta unofficial/official mug in this house (I feel weird and possessive if I saw someone using it. ehhehe), and my green spoon, my green fork and my green teaspoon, and also my blue-on-the-edge white plate. Hehehe...but to be on the safe side, I might need a few other stuff as well. As of now, I can't really think of anything that I need.
We're gonna officially move out from this house on the morning of first July and that first of July will mark the beginning of my plan for July.
1st July : I will be leaving Sheffield at 19.27hours from Sheffield Station to London St. Pancras International Station. In London, I will stay for 14 days in Brunei Hall. Pay a minimal rent which will allow me to save some ka-ching!. ahhaha Then I'm not sure what I am gonna do in London. I haven't planned it out yet. I guess the spontaneity will begin there. I'm sure I will have lots to do!. Hehehe
9th July and 11th July : Me, Vi and Mirul will depart for Manchester and visit Steph there. Several sure things will take place. We will surely eat chicken from PizzaCo. Go to this Thai restaurant and order their Thai Ice tea...slurrrp! and sia sia pun dulu...the rest will depend on our moods. Then the three of us will go back to London on the 11th.
10th July : The four of us, Me, Steph, Vi and Mirul will go to Blackpool Pleasure Beach from Manchester. (Please note that it's not a raunchy place, it's a theme park with beaches and stuff). We'll spend a day there and just have fun!. We will be spending the whole day there and will catch a train back to Manchester on the same day.
11th July : Well I already told you guys that Me, Vi and Mirul will depart for London from Manchester. :)
11th July - 14th July : I haven't planned anything on these dates. But I'm sure I will look around Oxford street and go into each shop they have there, to see the stuff they're selling. Hahah...and probably buy some. Since SUMMER SALE is on! But I will need to save some ka-ching!...since I might need to use 'em when my parents and lil' bro come here.
14th July : I will head back to Sheffield (BY BUS!!! arghghgh!!) and move into Opal!...I already booked a studio room which I will spend approximately 7 days in it. It's quite spacey, with en-suite bathroom/toilet. Also it has a small fridge and stove. It's quite a bargain, and I didn't even think about it until today (25th June). I was helping Rashie move her stuff to Opal and when I saw her room and Naseeq's room and I just thought to myself I should rent one too..so I did. It looks good and the problem of where will my parents and my lil' bro sleep is solved!...I almost forgot!! My result will be out today (not today 26th June, toady as in 14th July). As well as my degree classification!. Everyone. Pray all the best for me yea?..Thank You! :D
15th July : My king's birthday, the Sultan of Brunei's Birthday. Long live the King! :D.. Also Vi and Mirul will be visiting Sheffield (finally!! hehhee yeay!!)..There's nothing much to see in Sheffield. It's just a city. It's an industrial city which used to (or still is) famous for it's steel production (correct me if I am wrong eheh). The shops are quite similar...I think I just wanna show her how Sheffield looks like. HEHEHe..
17th July : Me, Vi and Mirul will depart for London. Again!!?. Well, Vi and Mirul are going back to Brunei Hall and as for me, I will stay one night in Brunei Hall before I pick up my parents and lil' bro from Heathrow on the 18th.
18th July : The arrival of my parents and lil' bro from Brunei. I will pick them from Heathrow and around 12ish we'll be on our way to Sheffield.
21st July : InsyaAllah. I WILL GRADUATE! and wear my GBP329.00 graduation robe..(hehehe motive for the price?...saja! to show how much I had to freaking save for it ehhehe)
22nd July : Leave Sheffield. And bring my memories of the fond times I experienced in Sheffield (hmmm why is my eyes getting blurry?...and why is there sorta like water thing in it?...) I AM GONNA MISS SHEFFIELD!! and miss the people who made my SHEFFIELD experience worth my life. yea you know who you guys are... :D
22nd July : Arrive in London.
23rd July : Paris Day-trip with parents and lil' bro. :D My dad wants to see the Eiffel Tower. Maybe, and if time permits I'll bring them around Paris and sight see a lil bit more than just the Eiffel Tower. Then go back to London.
26th July : Selamat Tinggal UK. I will cherish all the fond memories.
27th July : Selamat pulang ke tanah air yang tercinta. Brunei Darussalam.
Ultimately I hope and InsyaAllah, everything will fall according to my plans.
I just need to tie a few loose ends.

Kenangan...
Memories.
Kenangan or in English - Memories are what we have and accumulate over the course of our life. For me, it's something that kinda affected me in the past. To me, it's something bitter, something sweet. Something that I do alone, something that I do and share with people I love, people I hate, or just people I met and then never meet again. Something said. Something that fills the emptiness in me. Something that can mengundang air mata
Over the course of 24 years, I think I'm lucky to have quite a good mix of memories. Some are bitter, some are sweet, mostly sweet, some are better to be forgotten, and some are stupid that if dipikirkan semula will make me laugh.
Memories! Imagine if you lost it. It's gonna suck isn't it?
I think I can separate my memories to four categories so far....ahahha.
First my childhood memories. These are not so clear to me...like I can't remember when and what kinda day it was. But I think i can remember what I did and who was/were involved. Like this time when I was in Kindergarten 1, I used to have long hair. One day, my dad brought me to an Indian barber shop. Since it was my first time there, and I don't really know what sort of place is a barber shop I just sorta not care. But I DO CARE when I found out that my long hair was cut short! really short..it was sorta botak...not just sorta botak I think. I was botak! That got me howling - in other words crying my eyes out. In the car on the way back home, I remembered I was howling like crazy in the car. Until my dad stopped the car in the middle of somewhere (in the middle of nowhere, to me back then) and after several failed attempts to stop me crying he pulled his sternest voice and told me he'd leave me there if I didn't stop crying that moment. I DID stop crying. ehehe Well of course, he didn't mean to leave me there. I can't remember much what happened after that. I remembered the next day, in school, I wore a cap in class. I didn't want my whole classmates to know I was botak!...but then the teacher asked me to put away my cap...after several times being asked by the teacher, I reluctantly put that cap away....and was bracing myself for whatever my classmates would say...surprisingly no one said anything and my teacher said I looked cute..and 'lawa' the haircut...ahaha how can a botak cut be lawa!!?? ahaha...oh well, at least after that I didn't really care about my botakness...afterall, I was four years old, and it just added up to my cuteness...ahah
Also, I was kinda a very manja grandson...still a manja grandson especially to my mum's parents - Nini Aji and Nini Hjh ~I think~ (what do you say cuz? ehhehe). Well, as any other ordinary kids in the world, I had both set of grandparents. I'm more rapat with my mum's parents. But I do occasionally visited my late-grandparents - my dad's parents- (May God rest their souls..Amin!) in Kampong Ayer (the so-called Venice of Asia)...I miss them, I rarely got to see them but I cherish all the memories I have of them...Since they used to live in the water village, I got to play fishing with my uncles who made a made up fishing poles...and one time, I got to catch a live crab! eheh it was fun! After they moved on land, during one raya my late-grandpa gave a me a very big kite!! ~tears~...I miss them so much...I'll remember you in my prayers.
Oh well, the second category is my primary school years, this was when I started my public school life. I remembered when I was in pre-school back in 1990 I kinda had my first experience of 'escaping' from attending the assembly. That time Brunei was shaken by the a tremor of something...I can't remember from what, but being a kid with full of imagination, I took my mum's advice to be careful to the extreme. I managed to convince several friends to take cover with me behind the toilet in case 'an earthquake' happens. I think I was saying something about a monster and there's a superhero (much like Ultraman) that's causing the tremor/earthquake from their fighting...Ahahah...and in the end...my pre-school teacher gave me a pretty good 'rotan' for not attending the morning assembly...:D hehehe I was six then! ehehe
On my performance in school...I guess I was always a good student with good grades. I didn't remember doing much work or study that hard. But I always managed to be ~blush~ the top of the class..every year hehehe. One time when I was in primary four, as usual I was number one and my mum had to sign the report card in school. She had a good talk with my class teacher. At home, my mum scolded me because apparently I talked too much in class ahahahah!...Well, thanks to the effort that I made during those years in primary school, I managed to get into the prestigious and the premier secondary school in the whole of Brunei - Maktab Sains. I never heard of that school until after the last few months of primary six. :D I was so proud of myself to make my mum the proudest mum and dad on the day that I got my result. That was in 1996.
The third category...are my memories when I spent se7en years of almost my entire teenage life in Maktab Sains. I can say that, that Maktab Sains was my second home!..with my own set of family...I met and made and still maintained wonderful relationship with equally wonderful people whom I am proud to call my friends. Of the lot, and initially I was close to just five. And when I am not hanging out with the five, I will always hang out with two. Alright the five are my bestest friends in the whole wide world -Vi, Bukhari, Steph, Izzul and Fadz and later we were joined by Azimas, Faz and Wat (and now there are 9 of us)...the two were my buddies - Azim and Zuraime. Azim and Zuraime as well as me were the three tallest guys in our level. It was 1997, we were new to Maktab Sains, and the three of us were quite popular (ehhehe)...because out of the the rest of the boys who just entered Maktab Sains we, as I mentioned before, were the tallest ones. The rest were still quite short..:D.. Don't get me wrong...I do hang out with the rest of the batch. And one girl who always like my smile was Wana...everytime I smiled she will give this cute girlish laughter/giggle...she said my teeth were perfect..ehhe it was fun and everyone of us were so innocent back then..ehhe She was the first girl that I notice to notice me..eheh. I had several crushes back then but I didn't really act on it..~blush~ ahahha and I never imagined that Mizah (one of the popular girls from one of the popular groups in school) will be my housemate!!! ehhehe I think I did several naughty (not that kind of naughty ehhe) things during my years there...Once, due to peer pressure, we jumped off from the first floor (it wasn't really high)...eventhough it wasn't high, one of us did get injured! Well we were only in form one! and we were bullied by this big bully and bully-friends (plus we were boys, so we don't wanna lose our boy-pride ehehe) to jump off from the first floor. One of our friends broke his leg or tore his ligaments and we all got scared. BUT we were responsible enough to help him! That's what I called friendship! Except for those bullies who ran away like scared chicken!(last i heard one of them became a teacher! hehehe) Ahahah...I think it was sort of a sensational news then...FORM ONE BOY BROKE HIS LEG JUMPING OFF FROM FIRST FLOOR..eheh sorry teacher! and thank god we were not punished!
In form three, I started tuition...ahahaha it was the rage back then for parents to send their kids to tuition school!...I also met Fish during tuition, and as fate would have it, we are now housemates!...I never imagined that we would cross paths back then...:D hehehe
Maktab Sains gave me a lot opportunities, it was there that I first rode on a helicopter on our visit to one of Brunei's Oil rigs in 1999..I had my first time away from my family for ten days in 2000, because I was sent to Singapore for Apec Youth Science Festival with lots of different and new friends. Lost a friend, a dear friend to a car accident also in 2000. Almost the whole of my batch were involved in the APEC choir, in which we perform choir in front of the APEC Heads of Government, this include President Bill Clinton! Also in 2000. Also I was chosen to be the Head Boy in 2002. My first time building a robot...not really real and clever robot..just a basic robot that can differentiate between white and black...well using sensors, when it 'sees' white it'll move, and when it 'sees' black it stopped..!. And thanks to Stephanie who diligently oversaw the preparation of Graduation Night our batch managed to put quite an impression to all the teachers :D. I miss Maktab Sains...I miss you guys!!
The fourth category...are my memories after I finished highschool/form six in which I spent 7 months working and my memories up till now..
but that's another story for another time...for now I think I've written quite a long one ...
36 days...
I've been absent from blogging. Exam's over! Alhamdulillah! (i think i covered this topic a few posts ago). Oh yea, I was rambling about some problem that kinda dampen my holiday (a.k.a post exam holiday). As you all know I finished my exam on the 4th of June, a couple of weeks ago. As this is my final year here, I already made plans from my holidays, shipping of my stuff back to Brunei, planning when to go to London (my kinda favourite hang out city in the UK - apart from Sheffield (: ) and plans for my parents' and lil bro' visit to UK...bla bla bla...Since i figured all those stuff already before the exam and intermittently during the exam week, i thought i could relax after my exam and spend a couple or more weeks before i got busy again. BUT NO!!!
The landlord knocked on our door on the 8th (a sunday)...while i was playing game on my laptop..Mizah opened the door and after what seems half a minute she knocked on my door...'you see'...my landlord knows how to speak english..BUT NOT WELL...usually there need to be a couple of us around to understand what he's saying..what one of us can't understand the other might understand what he's trying to communicate. Moving on with the story, well he dropped the bomb that we are required to move out from the house on the 30th June. Well I accept that fact (it was in our contract)...BUT his notice was a bit too late! We told him that we already talk to his son about staying in the house for another month and the son said alright, it's okay...That was just a verbal contract..not so binding as I would have wanted it...but his visit on that particular sunday, ruined my mood for the whole day. RUINED the mood for everyone in the house...How can it not ruin our mood...he only gave us that notice on a Sunday of the first week of the month that we're supposed to move out. Moreover, we approached his son (whom we thought was the landlord, since he's been handling our contract stuff, we've been calling him about house matters), yea we approached his son sometime in late March or in April...he could've told us in May if he decided not to have us rent his house for another month..BUT NO, he had to tell us on 8th June and left us with 15 days (excluding weekends) to sort everything out!...(Till now, I'm still 'sakit hati' at that old landlord...)
BUT we managed to pull ourselves together and act quickly to at least prepare us after the 30th.
Alhamdulillah, everything is kinda settled already. Within that week, we accomplished so much, we managed to arrange our shipping, we found a place to stay, we cancelled our subscriptions to our TV provider, broadband, telephone, try to sort out our utility bills and so on...and now I'm back on holiday mood...well I CANT WAIT TO GO TO LONDON THIS JULY...ahahha...and I can't wait to go home..IN 36 DAYS!!! hehhe...
and guys, pray for us that everything will be going as smoothly as possible yea...:D thanks..
i think that's all i wanna write..so see ya all

Been meaning to...
blog about everything!
I kinda put my blog on an uninformed hiatus since the last post. This is largely due to my final exams. I had so much going on. The papers I sat for were okay...let's hope I'll pass all of the papers albeit there were only two of 'em. I love both of those subjects, I had so much studying Taxation in theory and practice (but I think I can live without the exams) and then I also love auditing (and the same as tax, I can live with just learning it, not the exams).
Recapping from my birthday. I had a blast. Though it was exam week/s, my sweet sweet friends slash housemates slash coursemates ( plus Mel <-- Azmi's gf, also a friend), they managed to surprise me! and I love the green Sheffield Uni Hoodie...I love green and I want that Sheffield Uni Hoodie..and I got the best from the best people around :D Not mentioning tons of messages I got from my bestfriends, friends, acquaintances and basically everyone who greeted me on that special day. It felt wonderful, and as a result it turned out to be a stress reliever because I was relatively not really stressed out about my exams compared to my 7 other exam periods in the past. Now we're on holiday. We're trying to enjoy it while we can. and and and...well there will be a story that suddenly dampen our holiday mood...wait for the next post :D
